ARTHUR OF FALCONER, NY A. E. LINDSTROM DIES AT HOSPITAL; HAD BEEN TAILOR MANY YEARS--FORCED TO GIVE UP MEDICAL CAREER. APRIL 15?, 1936. Axel Edward Lindstrom, 412 Palmer Street, died yesterday afternoon at 3:25 o'clock at the W.C.A. Hospital, aged 64 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Belle M. Lindstrom; three sons, Rev. Macklyn E. Lindstrom of Lander, Pa., Milton F. Lindstrom and Karl M. Bailey of Jamestown; a brother, J. August Lindstrom of Lakewood; three sisters, Mrs. John B. Johnson of Fort Fairfield, Me.; Mrs. Andrew Hilton of Rochester, and Mrs. Ida Smith of Falconer; and a granddaughter, Mary Lou Bailey. Mr. Lindstrom was born in Sweden and came to the United States in 1882. For fifteen years he worked as a tailor. Mr. Lindstrom then took up the study of medicine. He was graduated from Kentucky University, Louisville, Ky., in 1904. Following graduation he and another young doctor organized a private hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Because the climate did not agree with Mr. Lindstrom he came to Jamestown in 1906 and resumed the tailoring business. For many years he had operated a tailor shop in Cherry Street. Mr. Lindstrom was a member of Brooklyn Heights Methodist Episcopal Church, in which he had been active for many years. The funeral will be held at the church Saturday at 2 P.M. Friends may view the remains at the church from 1 o'clock until the hour of service on Saturday.
