I James Cochrane of Ripley Chautauqua County New York being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament that is to say: First: After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged I give and bequeath to my wife Nancy the use of all my estate and property during her life time. Second: After my wife's death and all her lawful debts are paid and discharged I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Cochrane of Rochester New York One Dollar. Third: I give bequeath and devise to my daughter Mary Ellen and Elizabeth Johnston sister of my wife and their heirs my homestead in the village of Ripley, New York. Fourth: I give bequeath and devise to Elizabeth Johnston of Ripley New York sister of my wife One Thousand Dollars. Fifth: I give bequeath and devise to my daughter Ann Elizabeth Little of Eureka Kansas Eight Hundred Dollars. Sixth: I give and bequeath to my son Francis Johnston Cochrane of Ripley New York Four Hundred and Twenty Eight Dollars. Seventh: I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine Cochrane Howard of Eureka Kansas One Thousand Dollars. Eighth: I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Ellen Cochrane of Ripley New York One Thousand Dollars. Ninth: I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Agnes Cochrane of Ripley New York Eight Hundred Dollars. Tenth: I give and bequeath to my son James Alexander Cochrane of Ripley New York Nine Hundred Dollars. Eleventh: I give and bequeath to my son Charles Cochrane of Ripley New York Eight Hundred Dollars. Twelfth: I give bequeath and devise all the remainder and residue of my estate and property to my seven of my children to with: Ann Elizabeth Little, Francis Johnston Cochrane, Catherine Cochrane Howard, Mary Ellen Cochrane, Sarah Agnes Cochrane, James Alexander Cochrane and Charles Cochrane share and share alike and their heirs. 13th: I direct that no bonds be required of the two Executors of this Will mentioned below.
