Cobb of the City of Dunkirk, County of Chautauqua, State of New York, do make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will & Testament, in manner form following, that is to say: First: I direct the payment of my just debts, if any including my funeral expenses. Second: To Charles Merrill and his wife Rosie, both of Randolph, N.Y. I give and bequeath absolutely the following articles of personal property now belonging to me: my music box, china slop jar, Marseille Counterframe, the hair mattress from the bed now used by me, the Tete, and the portraits of myself and my late husband now hanging in the Parlor. Third: To my nephew, Frank H. Cobb, I give and bequeath absolutely he following personal property, now belonging to me; the kitchen clock, the hat rack the mirror, the table and the cloth under it in aid Parlor, the carpet on the front stairs, the Parlor stove and pipe, the desk formerly belonging to my husband Albert S. Cobb. Fourth: To Addie Wright of Lowell Mass. I give and bequeath absolutely the following articles of personal property now belonging to me or hereafter to be owned by me; all my clothing, and wearing apparel not herein otherwise disposed of including my large woolen shawl, also my gold thimble, the summer porters, and my white quilled quilt. Fifth: To my niece Huldah Austin of Buffalo, N.Y. I give and bequeath absolutely the following articles of personal property now belonging to me; my china tea set, my silk sofa pillow and silk sofa quilt, which her mother made for me, my cluster pin. Sixth: To Edward Dickinson of Dunkirk, N.Y. I give devise and bequeath absolutely the following articles of personal property now belonging to me; the pictures of "Washingtons Marriage", and "On his Farm", also the six bound volumes of magazines. Seventh: To Harriet M. Rausdell. I give and bequeath absolutely my electric vacuum pump with all its appurtenances, also the mattress from the bed now used by her, the bed stead, and springs thereon. Eighth: To the "Womens Educational and Industrial Union" a corporation of Dunkirk, N.Y. I give and bequeath absolutely the two Historical Pictures in the Parlor of the house where I live, not herein otherwise disposed of Ninth: To Hon O.A. Ball of Hormellsville, N.Y. I give bequeath absolutely the following articles of personal property now owned by me; the rocking chair by the window once belonging to my mother; two splint bottom corner chairs; the little round stand situated in the corner; the fixtures of hammered brass given me by Rosie Merrill; my gold rimmed spectacles; and the plain gold ring which I now wear on my finger. Tenth: To my good and faithful Barbara Hiller. I give and bequeath the following articles of personal property now owned by me or hereafter to be owned by me, in addition to the estate or interest which she may have or come to own at the time of my death by virtue of the Will of my late husband Albert S. Cobb in the property left by me: the bedstead, mattresses, springs and all belongings in the Bed room now occupied by her; three pairs of sheets; three pairs of pillow cases, a comfortable, a white spread, commodes, one of the rocking chairs; two splint arm chairs, two cane seat chairs, table cloth, six napkins, six goblets, six wine glasses, a glass dish with high stand; six bone handed knives, and six plated forks; and of the dishes and tinware that I have, that which se desires, not herein otherwise disposed of;, the rug before the sofa; the one splasher, the clock in the dining room; the small tea kettle, two flat irons; one half dozen plated spoons; two large spoons; two small pumices; the wash stand with doors; looking glass; and the pictures now hanging in the middle room. Eleventh: To Joseph F. Libby of Lowell Mass: I give devise and bequeath absolutely the sum of $400.00 Twelfth: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate both real & personal wherever found and by whatever name known, not herein otherwise disposed of, I give and bequeath absolutely to Charles Merrill of Randolph, N.Y. and to Frank H. Cobb of this city to be divided equally between them share and share alike. Thirteenth: It is my desire and wish that upon my decease my Executor shall speedily execute the provisions of this my last Will by paying over and delivering as soon as possible the legacies above named & to that end I hereby empower my said Executor to convert all of my said estate both real and personal into money or its substantial equivalent, as soon as in his judgment it shall be practicable for the best interests of my estate, and to the end that he may so do I hereby empower my said Executor to sell and dispose of any and all real estate of which I may die seized, and to give good and sufficient deeds of conveyance therefore as fully as I might have done in my lifetime. Fourteenth: Out of the first moneys which shall come into the hands of my executor, I direct that he shall retain for his own use the sum of $100.00, which sum I hereby give and bequeath to him absolutely as part, coinficusation for his services as said executor; said gift or bequest however o be taken simply as extra compensation and in addition to his reasonable expenses, including Counsel feels and in addition to the fees usually allowed Executors by law, which legal fees I direct he shall have in addition to said bequest, which bequest shall not be deemed in lieu of or in dimunition of the same. Likewise: I make, constitute and appoint Walter E. Phelps of Dunkirk, N.Y. & without bonds, to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. Cobb in our presence and acknowledged by her to each of us; and she at the same time declared the above instrument so subscribed by her to be her last Will and Testament; and we at her request, sign our names as attesting witnesses hereto in her presence and in the presence of each other, and write opposite our names, our respective places of residence.
