All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm *********************************************************************** Source: SAMPUBCO photocopy Chautauqua co NY Will Book Vol. 3 page 220 Written: 25 Mar 1859 Probated: 7 Sep 1861 In the name of God Amen, I Joseph Cobb of the town of Stockton, in the County of Chautauqua and State of New York being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament that is to say: First, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath unto my lawful wife, Charlotte Cobb, that is after the bequest below are paid and discharged, the remaining whole of my property and Estate, likewise I make constitute and appoint my wife Charlotte and my son John Porter Cobb to be executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son John Porter Cobb five Dollars to be paid at my death from my Estate by me executors. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Jane, five dollars to be paid her by my executors. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Harriet Sophia, five dollars to be paid her by my executors. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Julia Ellis Enid, five dollars to be paid by my executors. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lydia Melissa, five dollars to be paid by my executors. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Fanny Louisa, five dollars to be paid by my executors. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Zenas Nelson's four children, Elmira, Nelson, Lorrain and Noel, unto each of the four above named grandchildren, one dollar each, to be paid by my executors. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 25th day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred fifty nine. Joseph Cobb, L. S.
