BICKFORD, CYRUS, Westfield, Chautauqua County

Know all men by these presents That I Cyrus Bickford of Westfield
Chautauqua County New York being of sound and disposing mind and memory
do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner
and form following that is to say:

First     I direct that my Executors hereinafter named, shall first pay all my
just debts and funeral expenses hereby directing them to appropriate from
my Estate the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to pay said expenses
and to pay for a tomb stone for myself.

Second I give and bequeath to my wife Betsey, absolutely, the sum of five
hundred dollars

Third     I give and bequeath to my said wife Betsey the use of the Homestead upon
which I now reside situate on the Gale road and containing about twelve and
one half acres of land during the period of her natural life, and also the use
during the same period of all my house hold goods of every description.
The bequest to my said wife Betsey, are to be in lieu of dower in my Estate

Fourth After the decease of my said wife I direct my Executors hereinafter
named to sell and convey my said homestead at such time and upon such terms as
to them shall seem most advantageous to my said Estate, and also my house hold
goods of every name and nature, and to divide the proceeds of such sale
equally share and share alike among my Grand children which shall be living at
the decease of my said wife Betsey, and for the purpose of enabling my said
Executors to so sell and convey my said real Estate.  I hereby devise the same
to them in trust nevertheless for the use and purpose herein-before set forth.

Fourth I hereby direct my said Executors to deduct from the avails of my
personal Estate the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars and to appropriate
the same to the payment of the funeral expenses and the expense of Tomb stones
for my wife Betsey Bickford.

Fifth     I give and bequeath unto my son Egbert Bickford now residing in the
town of Benton Eaton County Michigan one thousand dollars.

Sixth     I give and bequeath unto my son Horace O. Bickford now residing in
Lyons Ohio one thousand dollars.

Seventh I give and bequeath unto my son Darrin Bickford now residing in Lyons
Ohio five dollars (5.00)

Eighth I give and bequeath to the widow of my son James S. Bickford now Mrs
Mary Hall now residing in the town of Benton Eaton County Michigan five
hundred dollars

Ninth     I give and bequeath to each of my Grand children to wit Frances Bickford
Winfield S. Bickford and Ada Bickford, children of my deceased son James
Bickford fifty dollars each.

Tenth     I give and bequeath to each of my Grand children to wit Catharine Hawley
(Martom) Myrta Hawley children of my deceased daughter Harriet A. Hawley fifty
dollars each.

Lastly I do herby nominate and afford my friends Jonas Lathrope and Lorenzo
F. Phelps both of Westfield Executors of this my last Will and Testament
hereby revoking all former Wills by one made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 2nd day of
September 1873.

The foregoing instrument consisting of this sheet was at the day of its date
Sept 2 1873. signed sealed published and declared by Cyrus Bickford the
Testator therein named as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of
us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other
have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

Recorded the foregoing last Will and Testament of Cyrus Bickford deceased 
and compared the same with the original Will this 28th day of October 1873
