Westfield, Chautauqua County New York Will Book Vol 6 Page 483 Surnames: SHIPBOY, JOHNSTON, ELLIOTT, BELL, COCHRANE, NEIL, THOMPSON, SARAH SHIPBOY I Sarah Shipboy of the Town of Westfield in the County of Chautauqua and State of New York being of sound mind and memory considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make ordain publish and declare this to be my last will and testament that is to say: First: After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged including funeral expenses and the erection of suitable grave stones I give and bequeath to Mrs. Mary Johnston wife of James Johnston of Westfield New York One Hundred Dollars in money and one pair of linen sheets my best window curtains two (2) silver table spoons. Second: I give and devise to Mrs. Clarissa Elliott, wife of Gilbert Elliot of Erie, PA one pair of linen sheets and two silver spoons. Third: I give and devise to my niece Nancy Bell one pair of linen sheets, three silver tea spoons, my black crape shawl and also my table. Fourth: I give and devise to my niece Sarah Bell one pair of linen sheets and three silver tea spoons, one Buran (?). Fifth: I give and devise to Eugenie Johnston daughter of James & Mary Johnston my sequin silk dress. Sixth: I give and devise to Martha Cochrane one pair of linen sheets and two silver table spoons and m gray surge dress and also my gold fi(?). Seventh: I give and devise to my brother Joseph W. Shipboy my large Bible and Fifteen dollars in money and to this wife Eunice Shipboy I give and devise my black silk shawl and to his daughter Sarah Ann Green I give and devise by bocha (?) shawl and to my nephew John Shipboy (son of Joseph W.) I give and devise two hundred dollars in money. Eighth: I give devise to Mary Shipboy my looking glass. Ninth: I give and devise to Nancy Shipboy my Gold Ring. Tenth: I give and devise to my nephew Arthur Bell my six volume Scotts Notes and Comments on the Bible Forward should he recover from the sickness which he is now suffering as the date hereof. Otherwise in case of his death I wish and devise the six volumes mentioned above to be given to my niece Nancy Bell. Eleventh: I give and devise all the residue of my clothing, furniture, carpets, beds and bedding, crockery ware to Mary Johnston, Clarissa Elliott, Nancy Bell, Sarah Bell, and Martha Cochrane. And my request is that they shall all meet at the place where the things are and divide the same among themselves as they can agree. Lastly: I give and bequeath all of the money I have in the First National Bank of Westfield NY and also a Bond and Mortgage made by Hugh Neil to Sarah Shipboy for One Thousand Dollars signed by Robert Thompson and the other of One Hundred and twenty five dollars signed by Arthur Bell (after paying all the above mentioned money bequests) to Mrs. Mary Johnston Clarissa Elliott, Nancy Bell, Sarah Bell, Martha Cochrane and James Johnston to be divided equally between them share and share alike. Likewise: I make constitute and appoint James Johnston of Westfield Chautauqua County New York to be my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
