All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm *********************************************************************** Transcribed from SAMPUBCO photocopy Chautauqua co NY Will Book Vol. 8 page 333 In the name of God, Amen: I Aaron Town of the town of Arkwright, County of Chautauqua and State of New York of the age of seventy eight years and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say; First, I give and bequeath to my wife Lucina Town the use of the Tavern and Tavern lot containing about thirty three acres and now occupied by my son Oliver M. Town and also the use of my household goods of whatever kind or nature during her natural life, to be received by her in lieu of a Dower, and she shall have one Cow, to have and hold as her own. Secondly, I give and bequeath 37 1/2 acres of land, being a part of Lot Number 12 in the town of Arkwright to my sons M. H., Lewis D., and Oliver M. Town under the following considerations first, they shall pay to my son Silas Town One hundred dollars, and to my daughter Julia Ann Farrington One hundred dollars. Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my son Bethuel H. Town one bed and bedding. Fourthly, I give and bequeath to my son M. H. Town one bed and bedding. Fifthly, I give and bequeath to my son Oliver M. Town all the beds and bedding, and all other furniture which he now has in the Hotel belonging to me. Sixth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Julia Ann Farrington one bed and bedding. Seventh, I give and bequeath the remainder of my property of whatever name or nature to my son Lewis D. Town. And I hereby appoint my sons M. H. and Lewis D. Town Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Thirteenth day of Aug 1873. Aaron Town. L.
