Second After the payment of the debts and expenses aforesaid, I direct that the sum of Two hundred dollars be expended to procure a suitable monument preferably lettered and engraved to be placed on my burial lot in the Bemus Point Cemetery. Third I give and bequeath to the children of my Grand son Merrick N. Wood the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars, said sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars to be securely placed at interest, and principal and interest accured to be paid as follows When the oldest child attains the age twenty one years said child to receive his pro rata share of said bequest and the same when each child arrives at twenty one years of age, it being my intention to divide said sum with accrued interest equally between said children. Fourth I give and bequeath to the children of my other Grand son Daniel G. Wood the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars to be used and divided under the same conditions as the bequest given to the children of my Grand son Merrick N. Wood, it is also my intention that said bequest in each instance be divided among all the children of my grandsons that are living at the time of the first ones becoming twenty one years old. Fifth I give and advise to my Grand son Daniel G. Wood all my interest in the 50 acres of land known as the Hartford Winchester lot being the 50 acres owned by my son Amos N. Wood at the time of his decease. Sixth I give and devise to my said Grand son Daniel G. Wood my homestead on which I now reside consisting of sixty three and one fourth acres, with the afifiuntenauces thereunto belonging and all other real estate I shall own at my decease. Seventh I give and bequeath to my said Grand son Daniel G. Wood all of my personal estate after the payment of the bequests charges and expenses aforesaid. Eighth I give and bequeath to my Grand son Merrick N. Wood the sum of Five hundred dollars for and during his natural life, said sum to be placed at interest, or to be invested in real estate, in either event my said Grand son Merrick N. Wood to have the use of avail of the same. Ninth To secure the payment of the said Five hundred dollars, the use of which is given to my Grand son Merrick N. Wood, I make said Five hundred dollars a lien on my real estate devised to my Grandson Daniel G. Wood and my said real estate is devised tohim on the condition that he pay the same. Tenth After the death of my Grand child Merrick N. Wood, I give devise and bequeath to his heirs the said sum of Five hundred dollars or if invested in real estate the avails of the same, to be equally divided between them. Eleventh In the event of either of my said Grand sons being dissatisfied and wangling over the disposition of my estate, the devises and bequests given to the one so quarreling or wrangling are hereby disl??d anulled and void, in which event the same is hereby devised to the other, in the event of his not wangling or quarreling over the disposition of my estate. Twelfth I hereby constitute and appoint my Grand son Daniel G. Wood sole Executor of this my last Will and Teastament, investing him with full authority to compromise and settle all claims for and against my estate, and do all other things necessary and proper to settle my estate and carry out my intentions as expressed in this instrument, I hereby revoke all former Wills by me made. The foregoing instrument was at the day and date thereof signed, sealed, published and declared by the Testator Amos Wood as and for his last Will and Testament, and we at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, and added our respective places of residence Oscar N. Hale Residing in Ellery Chautauqua County State of New York Lydid M. Hale Residing in Ellery Chautauqua County State of New York I, Amos Wood of the Town of Ellery County of Chautauqua and the State of New York, being of sound mind and memory do make this Codicil to my last Will and Testament bearing date January 4th A.D. 1882, hereby ratifying and confirming the same except as altered or modified by this Codicil. First I give and bequeath to Mary Malovina Leonard daughter of Mary A. Leonard of Alica Wisconsin the sum of Fifty dollars to be paid the same as the bequests before the seventh subdivision of my said last Will and Testament. Second Should Mary A. Leonard the former wife of my deceased son Amos N. Wood ever be in actual want not having property of her own sufficient for her support, and no other means of support I direct that after her property is expended my Grand son Daniel G. Wood support and properly provide for her during the rest of her life out of the devises and bequests given to him in my said last Will and Testament.
