All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: May 23, 2006 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 4.3 Kb ************************************************ Preston, twp 14, part of lots #99 &98 Written: December 21, 1810 Recorded: January 14, 1811 Bk N; p541 This indenture made the twenty first day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and ten Between Guy Richard Esq of the Town City and County of New London in the State of Connecticut by Samuel Richardson his attorney of the first part and Josiah White of Preston in Chenango County and State of the New York of the second part Witnesseth that the same party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of eleven hundred and forty five Dollars 82/100 current money of the United States, to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part at the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns all that certain tract or parcel of Land situated in the Town of Preston in township number fourteen bounded and described as follows east on land owned by Isaac Stafford North on the North line of said lot South on the South line of said lot and West on the east line of Butlers range so called said land being the remaining part of lot number ninety nine the residue being now owned and occupied by said Isaac Stafford containing one hundred and forty six acres two roods and nine perches Also one other piece of Land being part of lot number ninety eight in the said township number fourteen beginning at the southwest corner of the ten acres of land deeded to Luchen Osgood by said Richards then South along the West line of said Ten acres twenty chains thence West on a Line parallel with the North line of said lot twenty chains thence Northwardly twenty chains to the north line of said lot thence east along said north line twenty chains to the place of beginning containing forty acres together with all and singular hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property dower & right of dower claim and demand whatsoever in law or equity of him the said party of the said party of the (sic) first part of in and to the same subject however to the conditions and reservations contained and expressed in the original letters patent of said township number fourteen To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances subject to the conditions and reservations aforesaid unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof and the said party of the first part doth hereby for himself and his heirs covenant with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the said party of the first part will from time to time and at all times hereafter warrant and defend the premises hereby granted or intended so to be unto him the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against all lawful claims and demands of any other person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof the party of the first part has to these presents set his hand and seal the day and year first written -- Guy Richards by Saml Farnham his Atty signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel Wheeler Chenango County SS Be it remembered that on the 31st day of December 1810 before me Auson Cary one of the judges of Chenango Commom Pleas came Samuel Farnham to me well known who acknowledged that he executed the within Deed as attorney for Guy Richards for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and finding no mateial alterations therein do allow the same to be recorded Auson Cary Recd and recorded Jany 14 1811 at 10 o'clock AM Austin Hyde Deputy Clerk
