She was born June 18, 1898, in the Town of Norwich, the daughter of George and Clarissa McNITT Mclagan. On Feb. 17, 1920 in the Christ Episcopal Church of Guilford, she was married to Charles Hoffman, who died July 14, 1963. She had been active in the work of Christ Episcopal Church of Guilford. She is survived by a son Robert V. Hoffman of Guilford, three sisters, Mrs. Helen Moss and Mrs. Addie Blood of Norwich and Mrs. Maude Moses of Hamilton. Also survived by five grandchildren, Mrs. Fred (Patricia) Scheideger of Guilford, Robert Hoffman of Maydale, Miss Gail Hoffman and Mark Hoffman and Charles Bellinger, all of Guilford; an Aunt Mrs. Hattie McNITT of Norwich and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother Percy McLagan died July 9, 1963. Two sisters Mrs. Marion Sherman and Mrs. Lydia MacIntyre also are deceased. Private funeral services will be held from the Robert J. Fahy Funeral Home, Norwich at 11 A.M. Sat. The Rev. J. Robert Marks, Christ Episcopal Church rector, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Guilford.
