(Chenango Co.) Mrs. Lydia MacIntyre, 81 of Oneonta, died at her home on March 9, 1968 after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held Tues. March 12, at 3:30 A.M. in the Bookout Funeral Home, Oneonta, with the Rev. Earl V. Tolley, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be later in the Riverside Cemetery, South New Berlin. Mrs. MacIntyre was born October 6, 1886 in Norwich, the daughter of George and Clarissa McNITT McLagan. On November 14, 1905 she was married to Walter J. MacIntyre in Norwich. He died September 16, 1958. She is survived by three sons,(?) Karl G. of Oneonta and Dania of Florida and Walter L. of Lima and Kenton E. of Denton, Texas, three daughters Mrs. Kathryn Petty and Mrs. Helen Bockus both of Oneonta, and Mrs. Margaret Fraser of Aberdeen, Md. Also four sisters Mrs. Maude Moses of Hamilton; Mrs. Kirk (Helen) Moss and Mrs. Addie Blood of Norwich and Mrs. Ernestine Hoffman of Guilford, 19 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. MacIntyre was a Gold Star Mother, her son Donald was killed in W.W. II at the Battle of the Bulge. There were also two deceased daughters, Clarissa died at the age of six months and Genevieve died at the age of ten years from a fall which caused brain injury.
