From Norwich paper, August 5, 1957

     Wilbur D. McNITT of 21 Taylor St., Oxford, died at Horseheads
yesterday. He was born January 20, 1886 in Oxford, the son of Nelson and
Ellen (Davis) McNITT.
     
      He is survived by his wife Mrs. Nina Dedrick McNitt of Oxford; two
sons Clifford D. of Endicott and Major Robert M. McNitt, U.S. Army,
stationed in Germany; a sister Mrs. Grace M. Stone of Oxford and four
grandchildren.
     
      The body is at the Seymour Funeral Home in Oxford where friends may
call tomorrow afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday
at 2 p.m., the Rev. George Dutton and the Rev. Clifford Bound will
officiate.
     
      Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
