MARIAN M. SHERMAN Mrs. Marian McLagen (sic) Sherman, 74, of 70 Rexford St., died at the Chenango Memorial Hospital at 3 P.M. Saturday. She was born May 26, 1891 in North Guilford, daughter of George and Clarissa McNITT McLagan (this is correct sp). She received her education in the North Guilford and Norwich schools. Early in life she was employed at Norwich Mills On May 20, 1932 she was united in marriage with Frank Sherman, who survives. Mrs. Sherman was a member and Past Noble Grand of Lily of the Valley Rebekah Lodge, the Women of the Moose and Pocahantas Lodge. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughter by a previous marriage, Mrs. Clarissa Wallace of Oxford and Mrs. Avelyne Holcomb of Norwich; five sisters, Mrs. Jess (Maude) Moses of Hamilton; Mrs. Lydia MacIntyre of Oneonta; Mrs. Kirk Moss of Norwich and Mrs. Addie Hoffman of Guilford, seven grandchildren, Mrs. Janet Magistro, Mrs. Donald Law, Mrs. Francis Call of Norwich; Lt. Richard Wallace of Topeka, Kansas; Marian and Nelson Wallace of Oxford. Ten Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Robert J. Fahy Funeral Home at 2 P.M. Weds. the Rev. Thomas G. Swales, D.D., Pastor of the Boulevard Methodist Church of Binghamton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 P.M. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tues. The women of the Moose will conduct memorial services at the funeral home at 7:15 P.M. Tues. Lily of the Valley Rebekah Lodge will conduct memorial services at 7:30 P.M. Tues and Pocahontas Lodge will have services at 7:45 P.M. Tues. Obsequies follow in the paper June 16, 1965, saying that pallbearers were Norman Weeks, Frank Mirabito, Francis McInerney, Morrell Newton, Axel Roy and Harold Becraft. Burial was in the family plot.
