MOONEY I, George A. Mooney, of the town of German in the County of Chenango and State of New York of the age of seventy one years and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, in manner following, that is to say: First-I direct that all my just debts together with my funeral charges be paid. Second-I give and bequeath to my wife, Susan Mooney, all my household furniture and fixtures, also the mortgage given by John W. Shaveraud and wife to me on which at this date, there is one and unpaid of principal the sum of sixteen hundred and forty dollars. Third-I give and bequeath to my sons, viz: Merritt L. Mooney all notes I hold against him at this date, also the sum of five hundred and ninety eight dollars-To Alexander Mooney all notes I hold against him at this date, also the sum of twenty five hundred and seventy five dollars--To John Mooney all notes that I hold against him at this date, also the sum of seventeen hundred eighty four dollars. To David Mooney all the notes that I hold against him at this date, also the sum of ten hundred nine dollars-and I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane C. Lewis all notes that I hold against her at this date, also the sum of sixteen hundred eighty two dollars. Fourth-I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate to Merritt L. Mooney, Alexander Mooney, John Mooney, and David Mooney, my sons, and to Jane C. Lewis my daughter to be divided equally share and share alike. All notes I hold against my son-in-law at this date , are to be considered the same as notes against my daughter, Jane C. Lewis, the same to be delivered to her as part of the hereinbefore bequest of notes. In witness where of-I have to this my last will and testament consisting of one sheet, set my hand and seal this twenty first day of August, 1875. Mooney to be his last will and testament and to have been signed by him-and we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribe our names and witnesses here to this 21st day of August 1875. AT A SURROGATE’S COURT held at the village of Norwich, in and for the County of Chenango on the 11th day of April 1876: Present Hon H.G. Prindle, Surrogate In the matter of Proving the Last Will and Testament Of George A. Mooney On the Day, and at the place aforesaid, David Mooney, a legatee named in the last Will and Testament of the said George A. Mooney deceased, appeared before the said County Judge acting as Surrogate and offered the said last Will and Testament for proof and probate as a Will of personal estate; and no one appeared to oppose such proof and probate, thereupon, the said legatee produced satisfactory proof, by affadavit that the due services of a Citation in this matter, requiring the heirs at law and next of kin to the said deceased to attend such proof and probate on this day, had been duly waived by the widow and all the heirs at law and next of kin of the said deceased, viz: by Merritt L. Mooney, Susan Mooney, Jane C. Lewis, John Mooney, who also appeared in person and Alexander Mooney. Chenango County I hereby certify that the forgoing is a correct record of the last will and testament of George A.
