U. Tremblay the undersigned Notary Public in and for the Province of Quebec residing in the parish St. Bernard de Lacolle, in the District of Iberville and in the actual presence of Messiors George M. Vanvliet Merchant and James O'Connor agent both of the said parish St. Bernard de Lacolle, in the said district of Iberville, witnesses called Expressly for the Execution hereof also hereunto subscribing; Personally Appeared M. Barny Wilson residing in the said parish St. Bernard de La colle, farmer;- Who being in good bodily health and of sound and disposing mind memory, judgment, hearing and understanding as it appeared to the said notary and two witnesses by his words and actions and considering the uncertainty of life and in view of death and being desirous of making his last will & testament and disposing of the worldly goods with which it has pleased God Almighty to bless and entrust him with, hath made dictated and declared unto the said notary in the presence of the said two witnesses his last will and testament in form and manner following - First of all and Principally I recommend my Soul to God my maker praying for the forgiveness of my sins and to grant me life everlasting; Secondly I will give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Elizabeth Gordon all the property and estate moveable & immovable, real and personal, money, debts, effects goods and chattels and all other property and estate of whatever name and nature which I may have own and possess and to which I may have any right, claim or title on the day and hour of my demise, whatever may be the amount, value and description thereof and whether the same are situated in Canada United States of America or elsewhere. To have and to hold to her the said Elizabeth Gordon (Wilson) her heirs and assigns in full right of ownership on from and after the day of my demise and to dispose thereof as she may see fit, subject to the payment and satisfaction of all lawful debts against my future estate. Hereby appointing my said wife my sole universal legatee and devisee in the premises and only testamentary executrix and administrix of my said estate. The said testator by the present revoke and anull all former wills, testaments and codicils which he may have made heretofore the present last will and testament above containing my name and seal indentions. This done dictated and declared by the said Barny Wilson testator the said notary in the presence of the said two witnesses and after the present last will and testament was read to the said testator by the said Notary in the presence of the said two witnesses he declared to comprehend the same well and finds this present testament in every respect conform able to his last will. Done and passed at the said parish St. Bernard de Lacolle in the office of the said Notary on the day month and year first above written under the number nine thousand one hundred and forty six and after the said present will was read to the said testator by the said notary in the presence of the said witnesses the said testator declared that he could not write nor sign his name, made his mark in lieu thereof, in the presence of the said notary and two witnesses hereunto subscribing the presence of the said testator and of one and other. his Signed Barny X Wilson mark J. Tremblay in virtue of an order of His Honor the Lieutenant Governor of the Province of Quebec in Council, dated May 26th one thousand Eight hundred and ninety three. Certified and delivered at St. Johns aforesaid this twenty ninth day of July one thousand Eight hundred and ninety-seven J. B. Demers N.P. Canada Canada Province of Quebec, District of Iberville We the undersigned Prothonotory of the Superior Court appointed in and for the District of Iberville Having the same _______ and authority as the "clerk" of the United States Courts of Justice Do hereby certify that Jean U. Tremblay now deceased and mentioned in the foregoing instrument as the Notary Public who received and acknowledged the same as the last will and testament of Barny Wilson, was at the time of the execution of said died a duly commissioned and sworn Notary Public in and for the Province of Quebec and as such was authorized and competent to received and attest the execution of the said instrument. And that J. B. Demers, whose signature is subscribed to the above instrument in attestation of the same is also a duly commissioned and sworn Notary Public in and for the Province of Quebec and as such, in his capacity of assignee of the minutes of deeds of the said late J. U. Tremblay is duly competent and authorized to attest the same; that we are well acquainted with his handwriting and the signature "J. B. Demers, N. P." subscribed to the said instrument is genuine, and that full faith and credit is and ought to be given to all documents so certified by him as aforesaid. Cause and Appeared Dame Elizabeth Gordon, of the Parish of St. Bernard de Lacolle, in the foresaid district and Province, widow of the late Barny Wilson, in his lifetime, farmer of the same place; Acting in her capacity of universal legatee and sole executor under the last will and testament of the said late Barny Wilson, executed before J. U. Tremblay, Notary and witnesses, on the eight day of August, in the year one thousand Eight hundred and eight-eight; Who hath hereby declared that the said late Barny Wilson departed this life at the said place of Lacolle, on or about the twentieth day of July instant, without having in any way or manner known to her, revoked or repealed his said last will and testament a copy whereof will be fyled with one of these presents for the purpose of Euregistration, That by his said last will and testament the said late Barny Wilson instituted his said wife his universal legatee and devisee of all the property, moveable and immovable real and personal belonging to his estate and succession . That the said estate and succession comprises no real estate and is composed of moveable and personal proper property only. Whereof Act: Done and Passed, in the Parish of St. Bernard de Lacolle, in the office of the undersigned Notary, on the day, month and year in the first place mentioned under the number one thousand two hundred and seventeen of his recorded minutes.
