Bailey, of the town and Village of Plattsburgh in the County of Clinton and State of New York do hereby make publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament Namely Item First- I give and devise my house and lot in Plattsburgh Clinton County New York, situated on Couch Street and known and described as Number Forty Four Couch Street, to my daughter Nellie D. Perry for the term of her natural life; and on her death I give and devise the same to her children Lucy D. Perry and Mary Louise Perry, equally share and share alike and to their heirs forever. Item Second I give and devise my vacant lot in Plattsburgh Clinton County New York, on Couch Street, and adjoining the house and lot No. 44 Couch Street, to my son James F. Bailey and my daughter Nellie D. Perry equally share and share alike, to each the equal undivided one half part thereof. Item Third I give and devise my house and lot in Plattsburgh, Clinton County New York on Couch Street and known and described as Number Nine Couch Street to my son James F. Bailey and his heirs forever. Item Fourth I give and bequeath to my son James F. Bailey the following articles of personal property, my side board dining table, chairs, 6 silver plated forks, 6 silver plated tea spoons, 6 silver plated table spoons, 2 silver plated desert spoons, 6 solid silver forks, 5 silver tea spoons marked "Bailey" my silver plated tea pot, my Japanese tray, 1 Reception Chair, 1 Arm chair, my large pier glass in parlor, the Masonic badge which belonged to his father, my ring with red stones in it, the picture of Rome in gilt frame over our sitting room mantle, my patent spring rocker, my wicker chairs; my butter dish, my silver butter knife, and 1 cream spoon, my easel with picture of my son Truman and pansies in oil on it, my pastel picture in metallic frame, the large sofa in the hall, my hat rack, my marble top table, my cherry bedroom set, my pictures "__?___ in Winter" and "The Husking" and "The First Prayer In Congress" Red glass pitcher, glass Vase,, cup and saucer and "The Three Graces" my rose wood "what not." Item Fifth I give and bequeath to my daughter Nellie D. Perry the following article of personal property, my painted Canvas ___?___, all my laces and wearing apparel, my point lace curtains and drapery, my picture "Fish Wives of Normandy," my picture "Bridge of Sighs" my Madonna (Perrigeno) my piano lamp, my black walnut table with felt top, my sofa in sitting room, art books, my silver soup ladle, my silver candle sticks, ice pitcher, and tray, sugar tongs, sugar spoon, solid silver butter knife, 1 set of napkins and table cloth that grandma gave me, glass dish with cover and finger bowls, a tete a tete set, 3 silver plated desert spoons, 6 plated table spoons, 6 silver forks, 3 silver table spoons, 6 silver plated forks, 5 tea spoons marked "De Forris" 6 silver plated tea spoons, andirons and fender, large red chair covered with plush, mahogany sewing chair, my moon stone ring, old cup which belonged to grandpa De Forris, my bed room mahogany set and bureau, my mattress and pillows, my watch, my pictures of Dathimies (sp?) Paul Veronese "Sea View" Duram Datheral" and Shakespear," my carved bamboo and Mexican ___?___ bedroom curtains. Item Sixth I give and bequeath to my son James F. Bailey and my daughter Nellie D. Perry the following articles of personal property to be divided by them, between them, vis: my linen sheets, my books, not herein otherwise disposed of equally share and share alike as nearly as may by. Item Seventh I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Lucy Perry, my Japanese cabinet, the oil painting over the parlor mantle, my badge of "Daughters of the Revolution" my dressing table, a brush and comb set, and writing desk to my grand daughter Mary Louise Perry I give and bequeath my locket and the gold chain on my glasses, my inlaid book rack, my Raphaels "Twelve Ha___?" my painted cup and saucer and plate with "forget me nots" my picture of her father and mother, To my said two granddaughters Lucy Perry and Mary Louise Perry I give and bequeath to be divided equally between them by my Executors, my souvenier spoons. Item Eighth I give and bequeath the following articles of personal property to the following named persons viz: To Mrs. Edith Bailey wife of my son James F. Bailey, my fire screen, my china clock, my picture the "Vestal Virgin" my set of china with green band, 1 set of napkins with table cloth, and the large dish under the mirror in parlor. To Hattie De Forris, wife of Doctor John G. De Forris "Robert Brownings" Poems my green vase and my tall cypress vase and to sister Louise M. De Forris a cup and saucer, green sugar bowl and pitcher, my loving cup, green vase and mothers shawl. To Mary Caffey a cake basket, orange spoon and yellow vase. To Sarah Witherell my ____aret(?) my jardiniŠre and palm. To Fanny Palmer my picture "Castle Angelo." To Mrs Carrie Hornick my china tea pot, a book of travels called "The Lake of Killarney" and 2 volumes of poems. And in addition to the articles hereinbefore given to my daughter Nellie D. Perry I also give to her my Doilleys, a cup and saucer, my silver urn, my sconce, my wine glasses, the picture "Water Girl of Pompei" red glass dish and saucers, a vase and a pitcher. Item Ninth I give and bequeath to my son James F. Bailey the one half of all my bonds and stocks; and the remaining one half thereof I give and bequeath to my daughter Nellie D. Perry for her life; so that she shall receive the interest and income thereof during the period of her life, and on her death I give and bequeath such half of such securities to her children Lucy Perry and Mary Louise Perry equally share and share alike, and hereby empower my Executors, hereinafter appointed, during the lifetime of my said daughter, to collect and dispose of the same and to invest and reinvest the proceeds thereof in other safe securities and to pay over the interest and income thereof to my said daughter during her life time, and on her death to transfer the same to my said granddaughters. Item Tenth All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate and property, both Real and Personal, I give, devise and bequeath to my son James F. Bailey and my daughter Nellie D. Perry, equally share and share alike. Item Eleventh I hereby nominate and appoint my son James F. Bailey to be the Executor and my daughter Nellie D. Perry to be the Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
