I, James Hunter of the town of Mooers in the County of Clinton and the State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. That is to say, First, after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath to my son Joseph the farm know as the Eli Nichols farm containing one hundred and five acres of land more or less being part of a larger lot known as the Refugee Tract in the Town of Mooers aforesaid, and also one half of the stock consisting of cattle, sheep and horses which I now own, and also one thousand dollars in money. And to my son John I also give and bequeath all of my farm on which I and my family now reside consisting of one hundred and seventy five acres of land more or less together with one half of all the stock consisting of cattle, sheep and horses, and being the rest of my stock after giving my son Joseph the half above named. And to my wife Jane I give one thousand dollars in money and she must have her support from my two sons who must bear an equal share in the expense of keeping her during her natural life and also any other monies that may belong to me after disposing as above. Also all other personal property such as furniture and household goods, farm tools, etc. Likewise I make constitute and appoint Joseph Hunter of Mooers aforesaid to be Executor of this, my last will and testament, hereby reviking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed my seal, the 13th day of December in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight.
