C page 151 Written: 16 Sep 1801 Probated: ? The last will and testament of Ebenezer Andrews of the Town of Hillsdale of the County of Columbia deceased. Recorded this 12th day of February 1807. In the name of God Amen. I Ebenezer Andrews of the Town of Hillsdale in the County of Columbia and State of New York Farmer being of perfect disposing Mind and Memory thanks be given unto God. Calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die, Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say, Principally and first of all, I give and recommend my Soul into the hand of the Almighty God that gave it, And my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the direction of my Executors. Nothing Doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to help me in this life, I give d[?]se and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. After funeral charges being paid I positively Order that all my just debts be paid out of my real Estate, and After the Payment of and the said debts legally discharged, the afore said real Estate shall be equally, in value, be divided among my four well beloved Sons by the names of Ephraim Andrews, Ebenezer Andrews, Abijah Andrews, and Asa Andrews. Item I give and bequeath out of my personal estate after my decease unto the natural children of my deceased Daughter Sarah the late wife of Peter Smith heretofore of this place, collectively the Sum of Ten Dollars. Also I give and bequeath unto my beloved grand children born of my deceased daughter Anne formerly the wife of Nathan Scott of Water Town State of Connecticut unto the said grand children collectively the Sum of the Sum of [sic] Ten Dollars to be paid out of my personal Estate. Furthermore I do Will give and bequeath the remainder of my Personal Estate equally in Value unto each and every of my well beloved Daughters whose respective names here follow, Viz: Lucy wife of Thomas Andrews, Rebekah wife of Barcillai [?] Patch, Patience, wife of Elisha Van Valkenburgh, Lovica [?] wife of Lemuel Crossman, and Hannah wife of Josiah Woodworth. I also do hereby Constitute make & Ordain my Trusty and Respectable friend Captain William Tanner of this Same Town of Hillsdale Together with my well beloved Son Ebenezer Andrews before named to be Executors to my last will and Testament And I do hereby utterly disallow all former and every other Testaments Wills, Legacies, bequests and Executors by me in any wise before named, willed or bequested, Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.
