The last will and testament of Simeon Richmond of the Town of Chatham County
of Columbia & State of New York deceased Registered Sept 15th 1827. 

In the name of God Amen I Simeon Richmond of Chatham do make and publish this
my last will and Testament as follows: 

First I give devise and beaueath unto my two sons Simeon and George Richmond
all my real estate including the farm on which I now live together with the
dwelling house and buildings thereon with the improvements to share and share
alike to have and to hold the same to my said sons Simeon and George their
heirs and assigns forever. I also give and bequeath to my said two sons Simeon
and George all my cattle, horses, Sheep and Swine, also give to each of my
said Sons a bed and bedding for the same. 

Second I hereby order and decree that my said Sons Simeon and George pay all
my just debts also the legal and bequest  herein after contained and I hereby
charge the estate hereby devised to them with the said debts and legacies. 

Third I give and bequeath to my wife Polly the sum of one hundred dollars also
a good horse, one horse waggon and harness for the same also all the articles
of furniture which she had brought to my house since our marrige, also all
that she has later made or manufactured by her since our marriage, these
bequests are to be in lieu of her dower in and to my estate. 

Fourth I give to each of my dauthers, that is to say to Hannah wife of Ira
Reed, to Olive wife of Sackett Husted, to Polly wife of Henry Ransford, to
Lucy wife of John Lester to Annise wife of Walter Knapp the sum of fifty
dollars to be paid to them by my sons Simeon and George in five equal annual
installments after my decease the remainder of my household furntiure I give
to my aforesaid five daughters. Lastly I hereby nominate constitute and
appoint my two sons Simeon and George and my friend Amos Irish, Exec. of this
my last will and testament. 

In witness hereof I have herunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of June
One thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.
