Bradway, she first married a Mr. Reed and had two children: Lorenzo Reed, Cordelia Reed. her second marriage (1848) was to Henry Weatherwax jr.( b:1820) he was the son of Henry Weatherwax sr (1786-1868) & wife Albertina Wilson (1787-1851) Record of the last Will and testament of Sarah P. Weiderwax late of the town of Chatham Columbia County, N.Y. deceased as a will ??? to pass only personal property together with the proofs relating thereunto taken in the Surrogates court of the county of Columbia,N.Y. and the decree admitting said Will to probate. Recorded: January 22,1898 I Sarah P. Weiderwax of the town of Chatham, County of Columbia & State of New York being of sound mind also memory do make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and testament that is to say. First After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged I give devise and bequeath unto my son: Lorenzo Reed the sum of one hundred dollars. III I give devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remain der of my property to my grand daughter: Cleora Walker, daughter of Cordelia Walker above named. Likewise I make constitute and appoint William A. Smith to be executor of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In witness thereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the ____ day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five. Sarah P. Weiderwax (s.s.) The above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof subscribed by Sarah P Weiderwax in the presence of us and each of us, she at the time of making such subscription acknowledged that he made the same and declared the said instrument so subscribed by her to be her last will and testament Whereupon we three and there at her request and in her presence and the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses thereto Andrew N. C. Harder residing at Chatham,Col. co. N.Y. John I. Clapper residing at Chatham Col. co. N.Y. Surrogate Court - County of Columbia In the matter of proving the last will and testament of Sarah P. Weiderwax deceased Columbia County John I. Clapper of the town of Chatham and Andrew N. Harder of the town of Chatham in the county of Columbia being first duly sworn in open court on there oaths do depose and say that they are subscribing witnesses to the instrument ????? Transcription note: In the left margin of this page written vertically from bottom to top is the following: " II. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Cordelia Walker the sum of one hundred dollars " shown to them purporting to be the last Will and testament of Sarah P. Weiderwax late of the town of Chatham in the county of Columbia aforesaid deceased and bearing a date on the ____ day of December in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty five . That the deponents signed their names as witnesses to said instrument at the request and in the presence of the said Sarah P Weiderwax and in the presence of each other. That the deponent saw the said Sarah P. Weiderwax execute the said instrument and heard her declare the same to be her last Will and testament at which time the said Sarah P. Weiderwax was upwards of twenty one years of age and of sound mind and memory and not under restraint to the knowledge or belief of these deponents. That the said Sarah P. Weiderwax is now dead and was at the time of her death an inhabitant of the town of Chatham in the County of Columbia and state of New York. Sworn before me this 22 day of January 1898 John I. Harder As a Surrogate court held in and for the county of Columbia at the Surrogate Office in the city of Hudson on the 22nd day of January 1898 Prescrib The Surrogate In the matter of the Last Will and Testament of Sarah P. Weiderwax deceased On the application of William A. Smith sole executor in said Will named and on filing waivers of service of citation of all heirs at law and next of kin of said deceased there being no husband and all being of full age and after hearing the proofs and in appearing that said Will was duly executed, that the testator was at the time of making said will in all prospects competent to make and not under any restraint It is ordered and decreed that said Will having date December 1885 and the same is hereby admitted to probate as a Will valid to pass that only personal property and that the same with the proofs relating thereto be recorded accordingly, the probate of said will not having been contested. Ordered further that letters Testamentary thereof issue & be granted to said William A. Smith he having taken and filed that oath prescribed by law. John V.
