John Stanbro, Aged 85 years -- Died May 24, 1844
Mr. Stanbro was a Revolutionary War veteran, one among many who settled in 
Cortland (the county being one of two large "Military Tracts" in New York State 
made available, in parcels, to war veterans as partial compensation for their 
services during that war). His brother James, and father, John Sr., were also 
Revolutionary War veterans.
