In the name of God. Amen. I William Lamb of the town of Harpersfield, County of Delaware, & State of New York being advanced in age & viewing my own frailty & Mortality (though sound in Mind & enjoying the full exercise of my reason blessed be God) think it advisable to Dispose of the Earthly property which God in his good providence has given me. I thereby dispose of it in the manner following (illegible abbreviation) 1. I give my soul to God in hopes of a glorious immortality in & through Jesus Christ & my body to the Grave in a Decent Christian burial at the Discretion of my family & friends. 2. After all my honest debts & funeral Charges are all Righteously paid, I give to Each of my sons Joseph Lamb, Isaac Lamb, & Peter Lamb one hundred & fifty Dollars, & to my son John Lamb I give twenty five Dollars 3. To my daughters Anna Swart wife of Laurence Swart to Elizabeth Borst wife of Martinus Borst & Jenny English wife of Robert English I give Each fifty Dollars & to my Daughter Polly Stanley who was married to John Stanley I give one hundred Dollars 4. The Remainder of my property I Divide Equally between my two sons William Lamb & David Lamb 5. I hereby constitute & appoint the Revd. Stephen Fenn Sole Executor of this my last will & testament hereby revoking all former wills of Every Name & Date Signed & Sealed in the presence of the following subscribing witnesses at Harpersfield July 16-1818-- William Lamb His X Mark /L.S./ Ebenezer Penfield Joseph Hotchkiss John Bruse L.S. The people of the State of Newyork, by the Grace of God Free and Independent-- To all to whom these presents shall come or may concern, send greeting--- Know ye that at Walton in the County of Delaware on the twenty first Day of october in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen before Robert North Esquire Surrogate of said County, the last Will and Testament of William Lamb late of the Town of Harpersfield in the County of Delaware and State of New York Deceased was proved and is now approved and allowed by us; and the said Deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his Death goods chattels or credits within this State (by means whereof the prooing [sic] and Registering the said will and the granting Administration of all and singular the said goods Chattels and credits and also the auditing allowing and final Discharging the account thereof Doth belong to us) the administration of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto the Revd. Stephen Fenn Sole Executor in the said will named he being first Duly Sworn will and faithfully to administer the same and to make and Exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said Goods Chattels and Credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required---In testamny whereof we have caused the seal of office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed. Witness Robert North Esquire Surrogate of the said County at Walton the twenty first Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen-- Robert North Surrogate State of New York} Delaware County} Be it Remembered that on the twenty first Day of october in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen personally appeared before me Robert North Esquire Surrogate of the said County of Delaware Ebenezer Penfield one of the subscribing witnesses to the will of William Lamb late of the Town of Harpersfield in the said County Deceased who being Duly Sworn Declared that he did see the said William Lamb seal and execute the Written instrument purporting to be the last Will and Testament of the said William Lamb Bearing Date the Sixteenth Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighteen and heard him pubish and Declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament; that at the time thereof he the said William Lamb was of sound Disposing Mind and Memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of the Said Ebenezer Penfield-And that he the said Ebenezer Penfield together with Joseph Hotchkiss and John Bruse the other witnesses to the said Will severally subscribed their hands and names to the said Will as witnesses thereto in presence of the Testator and of each other-- Delaware County} And be it also Remembered than [sic] on the twenty first Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen the Revd.
