I Robert A. Whitlock of the town of Davenport, Delaware County, New York mindful of the uncertainty of human life do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the manner following: First - After payment of my just debts and funeral expenses I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catharine the one fifth part of all my estate both real and personal in lieu of her dower Second - All the rest residue and remainder of all my estate both real and personal I give devise and bequeath to my son George V. and to my daughters Alice C., Frances M. and Viola C. to be equally divided between them each to share and share alike. Third - I hereby nominate and appoint Philip H. Peysten the executor of this my last Will and Testament and hereby authorize and empower him the said Philip H. Peysten to compound and comprise and settle any claim or demand which may be against or in favor of my said estate and I do hereby anthorize and empower my said executor to dispose of my real estate if necessary In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 31st day of July 1871 Robert A.
