All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: February 2, 2005 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 2.8 Kb ************************************************ Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York Written: February 27 1835 Recorded: February 28 1835 This indenture made the 27 day of February, 1835 between Frederick Barnard and Margaret his wife in the county of Dutchess and state of New York and John Gipson of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of 95 dollars lawful money of the United States of America to them duly paid have sold and by these presents do grant and convey to the said party of the second part of all that certain lot piece or parcel of land ground situate lying and being in the Town of Poughkeepsie aforesaid and described as as follows bounded on the south by land now belonging to Stephen McCarty on the Northwest by lands of Mrs. Elisabeth Tucker as her fence now stands also by other lands of the said Frederick Barnard on the south to lands of James Aikin on the East by Jefferson Street and on a the west by the land of the said Frederick containing all of the land included in said boundaries. With the appurtenances and all the estate tithe and interest of the said parties of the first part therein. And of the said Frederick Barnard and Margaret his wife do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of his second part that the above granted premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said Party of the part his heirs and assigns against every person whomsoever they will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year first above written. Frederick Barnard Margaret Barnard signatures. On the 28th day of February 1825 before me the subscriber a Commissioner of Deeds for Dutchess county for said Frederick Barnard and Margaret Barnard his wife and acknowledged that they had severally executed the written instrument and the said Margaret Barnard on a private examination apart from her husband that she executed the within instrument without out any fear or compulsion from her husband. And I further certify that I knew the persons who made the said acknowledgement to be the individuals described in and who as executed the within instrument. Silas S. Haight commissioner of deeds.
