All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: February 2, 2005 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 4.0 Kb ************************************************ Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York Written: July 31 1837 Recorded: July 31 1837 This indenture made the 31st day of July in the year 1837 between John Gibson of the village of Poughkeepsie Dutchess county and state of New York and Mary his wife of the first part and Robert Gibson of the same place of the second part the witnesseth that to the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $400 lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part collided in meeting adolescent or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt wherof is hereby acknowledged of hath granted bargained sold aliened and remised released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien remise release convey and confirm and to party of of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever. All that certain lot piece parcel of ground situate lying and being in the Town of Poughkeepsie and described as follows. Bounded on the north by land now belonging to Stephen McCarty. On the the North West by the land of Mrs. Elisabeth Hatcher as her fence now stands also by other lands of the said Frederick Barnard on the south by lands of James Aizin. On the East by Jefferson Street and on the west by the land of the said Frederick Barnard. Containing all the land included in said boundaries as by reference to a deed did the 27th day of February 1835 from said Frederick Barnard to said John Gibson will more fully appear. Subject to a mortgage of $75 with interest thereon to said Frederick Barnard. Together with all and singular the treasurements hereditaments appurtenances thereon belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders issues and profits thereof. And also all the estate right tithe interest dour and right of our property possession demand whatsoever as well as in law as in equity of the said parties of the first part of and into the above described premises and every part parcel thereof with the appurtenances. all and singular the above mentioned and described premises together with the appurtenances on to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said John Gibson for himself and his heirs the said premises in the quiet to and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the said parties of the first part of their errors and against all and every person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim warrant and by these presents forever defend. In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals John Gibson SS. Mary Gibson her mark SS. The word "ikiu"erased in and the word interlined. Sealed and delivered in presence of a L E Haight state of New York Dutchess County SS. On the first day of July 1837 before me the subscriber a Commissioner of deeds in the county of Dutchess aforesaid. John Gibson and Mary Gibson his wife and acknowledgement that they had severally executed the within instrument and the said Mary Gibson on a separate examination apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the within instrument freely with out to any fear or compulsion of her husband. And I further certify that I know the persons who made the said acknowledgement to be the individuals described and exected and the within instrument. And I found no material erasures for interlinations therein other than those noted.
