Witnesseth that the said Jonathan Lapham for and in consideration of the full and just Sum of Six hundred and fifty Pounds Current Lawful Money of New York to me in had Paid before the Ensealing hereof by the above named James Freeman the receipt Whereof I the Said Jonathan Lapham do Acknowledge my Self therewith to be fully Satisfied Contented and Paid thereof and from Every Part and Parcel Thereof do hereby Acquit Exonerate and fully discharge him the Said James Freeman his heirs and assigns for Ever by these Present have Given Granted Bargained Sold Enfeoffed Alienated Conveyed and Confirmed unto him the Said James Freeman his heirs and assigns for Ever A Certain Tract of parcel of Land Lying and being in the Great Nine Partners in Dutchess County and Province of New York and lyeth in the Lott Number Twenty One in the South half of Said Lott bounded as followeth beginning at the South West at a Stake and Stones Which is the South East Corner of Benjamin Laphams Land from thence running North by Said Benjamin Laphams Land one hundred and eighty two rods to a Stake and Stones from thence East ward by Luis Barton One hundred and forty seven rods to a Stake and Stones from thence South by Joseph Stantons land fifty eight rods to a stake and stones from thence West Eighteen rods to a Stake and Stones from thence South one hundred and Thirty four rods to a Stake and Stone from thence Westward one hundred twenty nine rod to the first mentioned bound and Contains in Whole According to survey one hundred and fifty six acres be the same more or less together with the house and Barn Trees Timber Wood Stones rivers Springs mines and mineral and all Other rights and privileges hereditaments Emoluments and Advantages Thereunto belonging or in any Wise appertaining thereunto or that Can by Contrived Deemed Esteemed Taken or known to be any Part Parcel or member thereof to have and to hold all the before Granted and bargained land and Premises With the appurtenances Thereof unto him the Said James Freeman his heirs and assigns for Ever to his and their own Proper use benefit and behoof from hence forth and for ever and I the Said Jonathan was the true and Sole Owner of all the before Granted and Demised Land and premises and had in myself good right full Power and Lawful Authority to sell ad dispose of the Same in Manner and form as Abovesaid And that it may be Lawful for him the Said James Freeman his heirs and Assign from time to time and at all times for ever hereafter by force and Virtue of these Presents Lawfully Peaceably and Quietly to have hold use Occupy Posses and enjoy the Same free and Clearly Acquitted and Discharged of and from all and all Manner of former of other Gift Grants Bargains Seals Leases Mortgagees Wills Entails Jointures Judgments Executions or Any Other Trouble or in cumbrance whatsoever and further more I the Said Jonathan Lapham Doth Promise Oblige and bind myself my heirs executors Administrators to Warrant Secure And forever defend all the said James Freeman his heirs and assigns for ever against the Lawful Claim or demand of any Person or Person that Shall or may hereafter Claim or demand any right or Property Whatsoever of in or to Any of the before Granted Land and Premise or of Any Part or Parcel thereof in Witness whereof I the Said Jonathan Lapham have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and at the Written Signed sealed and Delivered In the presence of the Word of Lott Interlined Jonathan Lapham (S) before the Sealing and Deliver hereof her Mary X Lapham (S) Doxes Lane mark John Ames junior
