The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, convey, and confirm and to his heirs and assigns forever. All of the Equal undivided 5/6th part of all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the village of Poughkeepsie and in the county of Dutchess and bounded and described as follows as a to wit. Beginning at a point in the North East corner of John Van Heusen's Lot 116 ft. and 6 in. to a point. Thence easterly along the north line of Seneca Hallaway's 35 ft. and 6 in. to a point. Thence northerly along the west line of Thomas Clegg 113 ft. and 6 in. parallel with the first above course to a point in the South line of Mill street. Along the south line of Mill Street. Thence westwardly along the south line of Mill Street to the place of beginning. Together with all and singular the tenements and hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. And the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, heuts? issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right tithe interest, dower and right of dower, property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity of the said parties of the first part of in, and to the above described premises and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances. To have and to hold all and singular the above mentioned and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Charles Underwood for him self his heirs the said premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, parties of the first part their heirs of, of all and every person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend. Sealed and delivered in the presence of SP Haight, a Dutchess County SS on the 29th day of April 1852 personally came before me Charles Underwood and Mary Ann his wife and severally acknowledged that they had executed the foregoing conveyance and the said Mary Ann on a private examination before me separate and apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the foregoing conveyance freely without any fear or compulsion of her husband and I further certify that I know the persons who made the said acknowledgement and who executed the foregoing conveyance.
