Quaker Records: Creek Monthly Meeting, Dutchess County, New York, p. 28.
Girsham [Gershom?] Griffen, son of Edward and Millison [Millicent?] Griffen, and 
Sarah Briggs, daughter of John and Mary Briggs, both deceased, filed their 1st 
Intention to marry on 16 of 8m, 1780 [Oct. 16, 1780]; and 2nd Intention filed 20 
of 9m [Nov. 20, 1780].  On 18 of 10m 1780 [Dec. 18, 1780], reported the marriage 
was accomplished.
