First, give and bequeath to my nephew, David Fish, who now resides with me and son of my sister Betsey Fish now deceased $800. Secondly, I give and bequeath to Fanny Fish, daughter of David $50. Thirdly, I give and bequeath to Patience Mosher, daughter of my sister Betsy, above named my gold necklace. I give and bequeath to Anna Bullock, daughter of my sister Mary Bockes and Thankful Carpenter and Patience Mosher, daughters of Lester; Betsey Fish all my wearing apparel and silver spoons, to be equally divided between them three. I will and bequeath to my color girl Sarah, whom I brought up and still live with me $400 for her support, which I order and direct my executors, herein after mentioned to put it out at use and apply it for her support as necessity requires and in case should there be a balance amount expended at her death, in that case I give and bequeath it to my nephew David. What things the said colored girl has of her own I wish her to dispose of them as she thinks proper. I give and bequeath to the heirs of my sister Betsey Fish (after the above legacies and all other changes paid) one equal undivided half of my estate in four equal parts or shares. To Thankful Carpenter (widow). Patience Mosher one share. David Fish, one share and one share to the heirs of Peggy Peckham that is to be equally divided, between them. I give and bequeath to the heirs of my sister, Mary Bockes(?), to Anna Bullock (widow), John Bockes, Epfraim Bockes, deceased his heirs, Adam Bockes, William Bockes, deceased, his heirs, Peter Bockes and David Bockes, the remainder equal half of my estate to be divided in seven equal parts. The heirs of William Bockes, deceased to have one share to be equally divided between them. The heirs of Ephraim Bockes deceased, to have one share to be equally divided between them and as above stated, one share to John Bockes, one share to Adam Bockes, one share to Peter Bockes, and one share to David Bockes, and one share to Anna Bullock (widow). And lastly I appoint NY nephew Adam Bockes, of the town of Greenfield, in the county of Saratoga NY and David Fish NY nephew and George Butts, both of the town of Stanford state appointed executors of this my last will and testament. Gilbert Thorne and Lewis Thorne, both of Stanford county of Dutchess State of New York (attorneys). Whereas, I Patience Cash, of Stanford have made my last will and testament in writing of October 19, 1841. Now I do by this instrument nominate and appoint Augustus Bockes of Saratoga Springs (solicitor), son of Adam Bockes, executor of my said will jointly with the persons named as executors herein. Proving of Said Will September-November 1846: Patience Cash died after a lingering ailment and at an advanced age, at her residence in Stanford and has left a considerable amount of personal estate. And the petitioner further states that said Patience Cash was the widow of David Cash, who died several years since in said town of Stanford and that said Patience died without issue and left only the heirs and children of her sister Betsey Fish and Mary Bockes her next of kin her surviving. Although Betsey Fish survived her husband and died many years since leaving only David Fish, now residing in Stanford. Patience Mosher, wife of George Mosher now residing in the town of Greenfield, Saratoga county, Thankful Carpenter and Richard Fish and Peggy Peckhaw? her next of kin her surviving. And your petitioner further states on information and belief that said Thankful Richard and Peggy are dead and have been dead many years. That said Thankful survived her husband and left children her surviving and that her said children or their respective heirs or sons of said children, still reside in this state as your petitioner is informed and believes. And your petitioner further states on information and belief that said Peggy Peckhaw? survived her husband, and died many years since leaving children, her surviving, and that her said children or some of them or their heirs still reside in the western part of this state, but where and the names of the heirs of the said Peggy, your petitioner after diligent inquiry is unable to state. And your petitioner further states that said Richard Fish died without issue and without having married leaving his said brother and sisters or their heirs, his next of kin heirs surviving. And your petitioner further states that Mary Bockes and her heirs, Adam Bockes died many years since, leaving John Bockes, Ephraim Bockes, Adam Bockes, Peter Bockes, David Bockes, Anna Bullock, and the heirs of William Bockes, who had died previous to the death of said Mary, their only children and next of kin their surviving. And your petitioner further states that of the last above named person said John Bockes, Peter Bockes, and David Bockes still survive. Said John resides in the town of Greenfield, Saratoga county. Said Peter Bockes, resides in the state of Ohio, but where is unknown. Said David Bockes resides at Olean Point in the county of Cattaraugus and state of New York. And your petitioner further states that said Ephraim Bockes died a few years since leaving Sarah Bockes his widow, and Phebe Bockes, now Phebe McOmber of Benjamin McOmber, Emma Bockes, now Emma Wing, wife of Prince Wing and Warren Bockes, his children and only heirs surviving. That said Sarah, Phebe, Emma and Warren now reside in the town of Greenfield in the said county of Saratoga. Adam Bockes, the father of your petitioner, died on September 8, leaving Smith Bockes residing at the town of Philadelphia, Jefferson county, New York. Peggy Jane Fish, wife of Lewis J. Fish residing in the town of Malta in Saratoga. Adoliza?, Daniels, wife of Ziba Daniels, residing in said town of Greenfield, Ann Smith, wife of John N. Smith residing in said town of Greenfield. Augustus Bockes and William C. Bockes both residing in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga county, his children and only heirs surviving. Anna Bullock, survived her husband and died several years since leaving David Bullock, residing in Gates county, New York. Diantha, wife of Ahid Guthrie residing in Huron, Wayne county, New York. Nancy wife of Philip Lour? or Sour?, residing in Huron. Ephraim Bullock now or lately residing in Dutchess county, Mary, wife of Matthew Haug? or How residing in Van Buren, Onondaga county, New York. Matilda, wife of Garrett Brock residing in Lysinder, Onondago county, Hiram Bullock, Adam Bullock, Richard Bullock, Lewis Bullock, Peggy Roberts all residing in Canajoharie, Montgomery county, New York and Phebe How who lately died leaving her surviving Peter How, her husband and one child residing in said town of Lysinder. The above named are the children and only heirs of Anna Bullock. William Bockes died years since, leaving Anna, now wife of Mr. Brown, his widow and James Bockes residing in West Troy, New York, Helen, William and two other daughters whose names are not stated and all of whom except said James residing in Washington county, New York, his children and only heirs surviving. That your petitioner further states that the above is a true and perfect statement as he believes and gives the names and residences of the several heirs and next of kin of said Patience Cash, deceased as fully and perfectly as he can state the source and that all the said heirs and next of kin of said Patience deceased, are over the age of twenty-one years except the child of said Phebe How, deceased, who resides with his father Peter How, above named.
