I Peleg Howland of Pawlings Town, Dutchess County and State of New York being in perfect mind and memory do make this my last Will & Testament the sixteenth day of September in the year One thousand eight hundred and five in manner and form following that is to say I give to my Wife Elisabeth all of my farm that I bought of Nathaniel Howland with the addition of a strait line on the north side to the east end tense south to northeast corner of the said farm bought of Nathaniel Howland, with one third part of my stock and farming Utentials for and during the time untill my son George shall become of lawful age for and in consideration that she shall bring up support and educate my son George and my Daughter Elisabeth til they be of age. And it is my will and I do order that my Wife shall have home with my Son George for so long as she shall remain my Widow and also my Daughter Elisabeth til she may marry. Also, I give to my wife one half of my household furniture at my decease and one thousand dollars to be paid to her when my son Georg shall be of lawful age free and clear forever in lieu of her dower. I give to my son George the above described farm land I bought from Nathaniel Howland with the addition as above I described containing near one hundred acres of land to him and to his heirs and assigns forever. Also one third part of my stock and farming utentials left in the hands of my wife which she shall return to my said son George when he shall be of age. I give to my daughter Joanna Cuspin one hundred dollars to be paid herwhen by son George shall be of age. I give my daughter Elisabeth five hundred dollars to be paid her when she shall be of age and one half of my household furniture. I give to my two sons Jonathan and Nathaniel all my lands, stocks and farming utentials with all my money and monies due to me and all other of my estate of whatsoever name or nature to them and to their heirs and assigns forever which is not already given away and it is my will and I do order that my three sons Jonathan, Nathaniel and George shall pay the legacies given to my wife and to my two daughters equally between them and it is my will that my two sons Jonathan and Nathaniel shall pay all my just debts also my funeral charges. It is my will that my Executors hereinafter named I do order them to bury my body at their discretion I order my executors to approve the stock and farming tools given to my son George and the one half of my household furniture given to my daughter Elisabeth and to be delivered to them worth as much when they are of age as when they are appointed and lastly I do hereby make ordain and constitute my wife Elisabeth Howland, Jonathan Howland and Nathaniel Howland to be my executors to this my last will and testament to execute such and fulfill every matter and enclosed herein contained according to the true intent and meaning thereof in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written Benjamin Akin Matilda Akin William Hein Peleg Howland SS Proved 12 March 1824 before E.
