In the name of God Amen. I, Reuben Nelson of Charlotte Precinct, in Dutchess County in the Province of New York, Yeoman, being at present of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, Do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say, First I order that all my Just Debts and funeral charges and expenses be paid by my executors, hereafter to be named, Secondly, I do give to my oldest son, Francis Nelson the choice of my horses or new saddle and bridle, and all my wearing apparell, in consideration of his birth right. Thirdly, I do give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, Elizabeth Nelson, all my Real Estate, Farm, and lands I do now possess, during the time she shall remain my widow, and after she shall marry or die, I do give, devise, and bequeath, all my said real estate, farm and lands with everything there unto belonging unto my beloved sons Francis Nelson and Reuben R. Nelson and unto their heirs and assigns forever to divide or be divided between them equally, share and share alike. Forthly, I do give and bequeath unto my said beloved wife, Elizabeth Nelson, and unto my beloved daughters, their heirs and assigns, (To Wit) Zeba, wife of Smith Rowland; Susannah, wife of Henry Neely; Merry Nelson, Ann Nelson and Elizabeth Nelson, all my moveable or personal estate, goods and chattels (except what is herein before given unto my said son Francis) to divide or be divided amongst them equally, share and share alike, except my said daughter Zeba, wife of Smith Rowland and Susannah, wife of Henry Neely, their heirs or assigns, I do will and order that they shall have each, fifteen pounds New York currency less than my said beloved wife and my said beloved daughters, Merry, Ann, and Elizabeth their heirs or assigns each. Fifthly, I do will and order that if any of my said daughters shall be under age or unmarried at the time of my decease, that such share or shares of my said moveable or personal estate goods and chattles, of my said daughter or daughters so being under age or unmarried shall be sold to the best advantage and the amount thereof put out upon interest and also the produce there of until my said daughters shall come to, or be of age, or marry, and I do further will and order, that if any one or more of my said daughters shall die under age, having no lawful heirs, that such share or shares, portion or portions, shall desolve upon my surving daughters, their heirs and assigns, to divide or be divided amongst them equally, share and share alike.
