I, Francis Van Dyck of Crum Elbow Precinct in Dutchess County and province of New York, Yeoman, being in health of body and of Sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding, thanks be given to almighty God for the same, and calling to mind the certainty of death any the uncertain time thereof, do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First and principally, I recommend my precious and Immortal soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it to me hoping for pardon and remission of all my sins through the merrits of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer, and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executor's, here-in-after named. And as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me, I give, devise, and dispose thereof in manner and form following. Imprimis - I will that all my just debts and funeral charges be well and truly paid and satisfied within some convienent time after my decease. Item- I give, devise, and bequeath into my son Francis Van Dyck, two hundred acres of land, being a two hundred acre lott lying and being in the Great Nine Partners in Dutchess County, bounded on the west by the Fish Creek, Northerly by the land of Aert Williams, numbered six, and Southerly by Lott number four of the said Aert Williams, to have and to hold the said two hundred acres of land with it's appartenances unto the said Francis Van Dyck and his assigns for and during his natural life and after his death. I give, devise and bequeath the same unto the children of the said son Francis Van Dyck which shall be living at the time of his decease and to their heirs and assigns forever to be equally divided between them, share and share alike. And for default of such Jesus, I give devise, and bequeath the same unto my sons Peter Van Dyck and Corneluis Van Dyck their heirs and assigns forever. Item-I give devise, and bequeath unto my said sons Peter Van Dyck and Corneluis Van Dyck three hundred acres of land lying in Crum Elbow Precinct aforesaid, bounded west by the Fish Kill, aforesaid Northerly by Aert Williams and Southerly by the said Aert Williams land and easterly by the Lott called the Carlo Borgh Lott. To hold the same unto the said Peter Van Dyck and Corneluis Van Dyck their heirs and assigns forever as tenants in common that is to say the Northernmost half thereof unto the said Peter Van Dyck and his heirs and assigns forever, and the southernmost half thereof unto the said Corneluis Van Dyck, his heirs and assigns forever. Item-I give, devise and bequeath unto my grandson, Jacobus Van Dyck, son of my son Jacobus Van Dyck, deceased, one hundred acres of land beginning at the northenmost corner of two hundred and fifty three acres of land in Crum Elbow aforesaid, which came to my share of the land I purchased with Dolf Banker and Jost Garrison to run thence southerly along the west bounds thereof so far till a line parrallel to the North bounds thereof will include the said one hundred acres to hold the said one hundred acres (being the land improved by his said father) unto the said Jacobus Van Dyck, my grandson, his heirs, and assigns forever provided always that in case my said grandson shall happen to die without issue before he shall attain the age of twenty one years then I give and devise the said one hundred acres to my said sons, Peter Van Dyck and Corneluis Van Dyck, their heirs and assigns forever. Item-I give, devise, and bequeath unto my sons Peter Van Dyck and Corneluis Van Dyck the remaining one hundred and fifty three acres of the said Lott of Land and all the rest residue and remains of my real estate whatsoever, to hold the same unto them my said sons, Peter Van Dyck and Corneluis Van Dyck, their heirs and assigns forever, as tenants in common. Provided also, and it is my will and I do hereby order that the said two hundred acres of land devised to my son Francis and also the said four hundred and fifty three acres of land devised to my sons Peter and Corneluis shall stand chargeable with the payment of one (?) of five pounds currant money of New York yearly, every year during the life of my brother Richard Van Dyck which sum of five pounds I hereby devise, bequeath unto my brother and to be paid him by my said three sons yearly during his natural life. Item-I give and bequeath into my daughters Magdalena, Margaret, and Catalintje all and singular my personal estate. And Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint Jost Garrison and the said Magdalena, his wife; Richard Williams and the said Margaret, his wife; and the said Catalintje, the Executor's of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills, Testaments, and legacies and bequests by me at any time heretofore made, and declaring this only to be my last will and testament. In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord, One thousand, Seven Hundred and fifty one.
