First I give to my well beloved son Nicolas Row and to his heirs and assigns forever all the farm or land now in his actual possession on which he now lives and improves, likewise I give to my well beloved son Garret Row and to his heirs and assigns forever all the land and premises in his actual possession and improvement. Likewise I give to my well beloved wife the full improvements and profits arising from our third tract of my home lott where I now live on improve during her natural life. Likewise I give to my well beloved son Conrad Row and Samuel Row all my home lott and all my land lying in Sharon excepting the thirds I have given to my wife and excepting likewise ten acres of woodland lying in Sharon aforesaid which I have given to my son Garret Row above mentioned. They the said Conrad and Samuel aforesaid to have the whole of my home lott and my lands in Sharon after my wife Susannah Row decease to be equally divided between them their heirs and assigns forever and as to my personal estate I give and order to be paid after my decease to my sons Nicolas Row and Garret Row above mentioned ten pounds to each of them them their heirs and assigns, and likewise to my well beloved daughters Hannah the wife of Benjamin Delemater and Mary the wife of Peletiah Chapman and Elanna the wife of William Young to each and every of them their heirs or assigns ten pound which is thirty pounds to my daughters and is to be paid out of my personal estate in one year after my decease and as to the rest of my personal estate after my funeral charges are paid together with my just debt which I shall owe at my decease I order and direct to be equally divided between my wife and my two sons Conrad and Samuel and lastly I appoint my sons Nicolas Row Garret Row and Conrad Row my executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Nicolas Row have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal in the presence of us who are witnesses in the presence and at the request of the testator. Nicolas R (his mark) Row Susanna Knees Conrad Winegar David Doty Dutchess County Be it remembered that on the twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and eighty seven personally appeared before me Gilbert Livingston surrogate of the said County, David Doty of Litchfield County in the State of Connecticut Practitioner of Physick, and being duly sworn on his oath declared, that he did see Nicolas Row sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Nicolas Row bearing date the twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six and heard him publish and declare the same at and for his last will and testament that at the time thereof he the said Nicolas Row was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the deponent, and that his name published to the said will is of his proper handwriting-which he subscribed and also that he the deponent saw Susanna Knees and Conrad Winegar the other witnesses to the said will subscribe their names as witnesses thereto in the testators presence. Gilbert Livingston Surrogate. We the People of the State of New York by the grace of God free and independent. To all to whom these presents shall come or may concern find greeting. Know ye. That at Poghkeepsie in Dutchess County and State of New York on the twenty ninth day of June last part before Gilbert Livingston Esq. Surrogate of our said County, the last will and testament of Nicolas Row deceased (a copy whereof is hereon to annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by is, and the said deceased having while he lived and at the time of his death goods, chattels, or credits within this State by means whereof the proving and registering the said will, and the granting administration of all and singular the said goods, chattels and credits and also the auditing, allowing and final discharging the account thereof, doth belong unto us, the administration of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto Nicolas Row and Conrad Row two of the Executors in the said will named, they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same, and to make and exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said goods, chattels and credits, and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required. In testimony whereof we have caused the seal of Office of our said surrogate to be hereunto affixed. Gilbert Livingston Surrogate. Additional Comments: I am unsure of the name Peletiah Chapman (husband of Mary) as the first name was difficult to read. I believe it is Peletiah, but am not positive.
