I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife two feather beds and bedding for the same two cows the use of one of my front rooms and one bed room and I do order and direct that my two sons Graudius and Peter find my said wife in fire wood------[sic] cut by the [good?] provisions and all other things that she shall shall [sic] stand in the need of for her comfortable suport so long as she shall live or remain my widow in lieu of dower. I also give and bequeath unto my son James Quick the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds current money of Newyork to be paid in the following manner that is to say fifty pounds at the expiration of one year after my deceased fifty pounds at the end of two years and the like sum of fifty pounds at the expiral of three years after my deceased. I give to my grand daughter Jemima the daughter of my son Graudius our feather bed and bedding one cow I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margery the wife of Israel Herrick the sum of two hundred pounds current [just?] money of Newyork to his the heirs and assigns forever to be paid in the following manner that a the sum of fifty pounds at the expiration [of the] year after my decease, the sum of fifty pounds in two years and the sum of fifty pounds in three years and the like sum of fifty pounds at the expiration of four years after my decease Also all my household items except what is heretofore given away/ I give unto my four grand children the children of my daughter Catherine the late wife of Richard Baker that is Graudius Baker, James Baker, Catherine Baker and William Baker each of them the sum of fifteen pounds lawfull money of Newyork to be paid unto them and each of them when they shall arive [sic] at lawfull age or day of marriage which shall first happen if either of them should die before they arive [sic] at lawfull age or marry then his her or their part and proportion so dying to be equally directed between the survivors of him her or them their heirs and assigns forever. And further I give and devise unto my two sons Graudius Quick and Peter Quick their heirs and assigns all the lands and tenements that I [?] or own in the town of Clinton with its appurtenances and also all my moveable estate not heretofore given away to be divided equally them share and share alike to them their heirs and assigns [forever] and upon these conditions that they pay all my just debts and legacies heretofore given away Also it is my will and I do order and direct my son Graudius to lay out one hundred pounds current money of NewYork for lands at his discretion for my grandson Graudius the son of my said son Graudius when he shall arive [sic] at the age twenty one years and the said lands to be for my said grandson his heirs and assigns forever. And lastly I do hereby conclude nominate and appoint my two sons that is Graudius and Peter and my friend Jacob Smith executors of this my last will and testament hereby giving and granting unto my said executors or any two of them or the survivors of them to execute and perform according to the true intent and meaning here of. In Witness whereof I have hereunto [set] my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight. Signed, Sealed, published, pronounced and declared by the said Graudius Quick as and for his last will and testament in the presence [of] us who have signed our names as witnesses thereto. The words the use of between the 11 & 12 lines of the first page and the word pounds between the 13 & 14 lines of the 2nd page and an erasure made in the 6th & 7th 2nd page lines all done before the sealing and delivery here of Geradus Quick [L.S.] Isaac Bloom, William H. Willson, John Smith Dutchess County LS Be it remembered that on the first day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight personally appeared before me Gilbert Livingston surrogate of the said County William H. Willson of the town of Clinton in said County carpenter who on oath declared that he did see Graudius Quick sign and seal the annexed written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Graudius Quick bearing date the twenty eighth day of July one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last will and testament That at the time thereof he the said Graudius Quick was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the deponent and that Isaac Bloom John Smith and the deponent severally subscribed the said will as witnesses there to in the testators presence Gilbert Livingston [L.S.] The People of the State of Newyork by the grace of God free and Independent to all to whom these presents shall come or may concern send greeting Know ye that at Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County on the first day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight before Gilbert Livingston Esq. Surrogate or our said County the last will and testament of Graudius Quick deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having whilyt [sic] he lived and at the time of his death goods, chattles or credits within this State by means thereof the proving and registering the said will and the granting Administration of all and singular the said goods, chattles and credits and also the auditing, allowing and final discharging the amount thereof doth belong unto us the administration of all and singular the goods, chattles and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto Graudius Quick and Peter Quick two of the executors in the said will namely they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said goods and chattles and credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required In testimony whereof we have caused the seal of office of our said surrogate to be hereunto affixed witness Gilbert Livingston Esquire Surrogate of the said County at Poughkeepsie the third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight and of our Independence the twenty third Gilbert Livingston - - - - - - Dutchess County, L.S.
