And my body to the dust to be buried in a decent Christian like manner at the discretion of my executors hereafter named in hopes of a glorius resurrection at the last day. And as touching such wordly goods and estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with. First of all it is my will that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid. I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Sarah the one third part of my real and personal property to be by her possesed as hereafter directed . Item. It is my will and do bequeath to my son Abraham and my son Andrew fifty dollars each to be possesed as hereafter mentioned. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah twenty five dollars to be paid to her as hereafter directed. I further give and bequeath to my youngest child, Samuel, the sum of thirty pounds, York currency to be paid as hereafter directed and lastly I give and bequeath the remaining part of all my real and personal estate to my children, towit: my sons William, Abraham, Andrew and Samuel,my daughters Nancy and Sarah equally share and share alike to be paid to them as hereafter directed. Item. It is my will and pleasure that my executors hereafter named take possession after my decease of all my real and personal estate and dispose of the same where the majority of my executors think advisable. Further it is my will that my executors hereafter named take charge of my children and bring them up in a decent becoming manner. And if my executors do not lay out the whole of the sums bequeathed to my children or some or the whole of them have a share left, then it is my will that my executors pay the residue or their share to my sons at the age of twenty one years, to my daughters at the age of eighteen and I further order my executors to pay after my decease to my beloved wife Sarah the legacy bequeathed to her as quick as my property can be sold to advantage. It is my will that my executors take a true inventory of all my personal estate. Lastly I do constitute nominate and appoint my trusty friends and my beloved wife Sarah Robinson my brother John Robinson, my brother in law Doctor Abraham Halsey and Cornelius R. Canbyck all of Fishkill town Dutchess County and State of New York. My sole execurtrix and executors of this my last will and testament, disannuling and disallowing all former wills or bequeaths by me heretofore made ratifying and confirming this and no other my last will and testament. Be it rembered that on the fifteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and eight, personally appeared before me James Tallmadge, Junr, Surrogate of the said County Peter Kinshimer who on his oath declared that he did see Samuel Robinson sign and seal the annexed written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Samuel Robinson, bearing date the tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and eight. And heard him publish and delare the same as and for his last will and testament that at the time thereof he the said Samul Robinson was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the deponent and that this deponent James Thorn and Abraham K. Phillips severally subscribed the said Will as witnesses thereto in the testators presence, James Tallmadge, Junr. LS. The people of the state of New York by the grace of God free and independent to all to whom these presents shall come or may concern send greeting: Know ye that at Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County on the fifteenth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight huindred and eight before James Tallmadge, Junr esquire surrogate of our said County the last will and testament of Samuel Robinson deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now and allowed of by us. And the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods chattles or credits within this state by means where of the proving and registering the said will and the granting administration of all and singular the said goods chattles and credits. And also the auditing allowing and final discharging the amount thereof doth belong unto us The administration of all and singular the goods chattles and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto John Robinson, Abraham Halsey and Cornelius R. Canttyck, three of the executors in the said will named they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said goods chattles and credits and also to render a just and true amount thereof when thereunto required in testimony whereof we have caused the seal of office of our said surrogate to be there unto affixed. Witness: James Tallmadge, Jurn Esquire surrogate of the said County at Poughkeepsie the fifteenth day of June in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eight and of our independence the thirty second. s/ James Tallmadge Junr Surrogate Dutchess County recorded the preceding will of Samuel Robinson the Certificate of Proof thereof and the letters testamentary thereon this 15th day of June 1808. s/ James Tallmadge Junr Surrogate
