The submittor has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ************************************************************************ Will of James Frost: I, James Frost, of the Town of Clinton, County of Dutchess and State of New York, being this twenty-third day of the third month one thousand eight hundred and eighteen well in health of body and of perfect mind and memory, do make and ordain this [recent] writing to contain my Last Will and Testament in manner following: First, I will and order all my just debts with my funeral charges and my executors who fully paid for their time and trouble and expense with all other incidental charges out of my estate. Second, then I give and bequeath unto all my brothers and sisters that is living, that is to say, Rhoda Baker, Elisabeth Powell, Isaac Frost, [G]adiah Frost, Jordan Frost, Solomon Frost, Mordecai Frost, George Frost and Mary Stringham, the three quarters of my estate to be equally divided amongst them, and if any of my brothers or sisters decease it is my will that their parents' legacy be equally divided amongst all their children. Third, then I give and bequeath the other quarter unto my deceased sisters children, that is to say, I give Anna Shadbolt […] Shadbolt the one third, I give unto Ethelannah W[…] children the one third to be equally divided among them after the decease of their father, and the other third I give it unto Sarah Worden's children to be equally divided amongst them. Lastly I appoint my friends Joseph Albertson, Jothan Wilber and Daniel Baker to be my executors of this my Last Will and Testamewnt giving unto them or either of them full power and authority to execute, fulfill and perform this my Last Will and Testament in Witness hereunto I have set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed, sealed, published, pronounced declared by the said James Frost as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of the subscribers who signed as witnesses in the presence of the testator.
