Lewis Historical Pub. Company, pub. about 1947 (?) Vol. 3 Biographies THOMAS LIPPES Since 1937 Thomas Lippes has conducted a general law practice in Buffalo. Mr. Lippes was born November 21, 1912, in Romania, son of Harry and Eva (Constanburg) Lippes. His father is a wholesale baker in Buffalo. Buffalo schools provided Thomas Lippes' early formal education. When he finished his high school studies, he entered the University of Buffalo, where he received the degree of Bachelor of Laws in 1936. Admitted to the Erie County bar, the bar of the State of New York, and to practice in the Federal Courts in June, 1937, he started at that time the practice which he has since continued. He is vicepresident and counsel to the Hudson Boxing Club and secretary and counsel of the Mann Corporation in Buffalo. From 1941 to 1944 Mr. Lippes was a member of the New York State Guard. He is a member of Mt. Moriah Lodge of Odd Fellows. On June 26, 1938, Thomas Lippes married Ruth Landsman. Their children are: 1. Gerald S., born March 23, 1940. 2. Richard J., born March 18,
