DANSER HELD INQUEST No New Facts Developed in Hearing Held Before Judge Knoell on Saturday—Boy will be Kept in Reform School for at least 18 months. Arther Eberfeld, 12 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Eberfeld of No. 10 Cleveland avenue, who shot and killed Franklin Licht, 16 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Licht of No. 57 South Niagara street last Monday afternoon, sent to the State Reform School at Industry near Rochester by City Judge Charles J. Knoell Saturday afternoon. The charge against young Eberfeld was juvenile delinquency and was preferred reluctantly by the father of the dead boy. Boys sent to the reformatory are detained at least 18 months and it is discretionary with the authorities how long they shall serve beyond that time up to 21 years old. The Eberfeld lad pleaded guilty to the charge. He was taken to the Detention Home in Buffalo where he was kept until taken to Industry this morning. The charge was laid as the result of the inquest before Judge Knoell. The examination was conducted by Assistant District Attorney J. C. Roberts of Buffalo for the people. Medical Examiner Earl G. Danser and his assistant Dr. George B. Stocker of Buffalo, who conducted the autopsy on the Licht boy; Leo Helm, the boy who was with Eberfeld at the time the shooting took place; Howard Vigrass, the boy who picked Licht up as he toppled from his bicycle in front of the National Roofing Company office on Filmore avenue after receiving the bullet wound in the neck; Dr. H. M. Edmonds, the attending physician, and other witnesses of lesser importance were sworn. The evidence developed no new facts. Judge Knoell held that the facts showed that criminal negligence had been exercised by the boy in shooting Licht and recommended that the charge of juvenile delinquency be laid against Eberfeld. A warrant, laying this charge, was issued at once and the arraignment of the boy followed. Chief of Police Arthur F. Ellicott left last night for Buffalo and took Eberfeld from the Detention Home to Industry.
