McKinldy Shakes Hands With Many Sunday-School Children ADAMS, Mass., Sept 27 - President McKinley rested very quietly yesterday at the Plunkett mansion, his only exertion out of doors being his attendance at the Congregational Church in the morning and a drive later in the day. The morning was without incident until the President and the Misses Mabel and Grace McKinley, accompanied by their host, went to church. Miss Mabel McKinley sat in the choir gallery and the others in the Plunkett pew. The church was crowded and had flowers only for decorations. The usual order of service was observed. Miss Mabel McKinley sang the solo "Come Ye Disconsolate". Her singing was unusually effective. Rev. A.R. Penniman, pastor of the church preached. He made no reference to the President. At the close of the church exercises the Sunday-school service was held, which was attended by the President and the Misses McKinley, all of whem were seated on the platform. W.B. Plunkett presided. About a hundred children of the primary department marched by the President and shook his hand. Then they formed in a class on the floor and sang "We are Little Children, Very Young Indeed". The Sunday-school exercises closed with the singing of "America". _______________
