After a tour of duty during WW II, he worked for General Motors and in 1951, embarked upon his biggest journey, joining Bell Helicopter's original cadre of 600 to launch an emerging helicopter company in Fort Worth, Texas. Retiring as Vice President after 30 years of distinguished service, Pat and his Commercial Marketing team were a key part of Bell's market growth and development in becoming the recognized leader in the helicopter industry. el,2 He was actively involved in the Catholic Church, president of the various organizations, a life long member of Delta Sigma Pi, and after retirement from Bell, he dedicated his efforts as a volunteer advocate representing Tarrant County College Seniors and AARP at the state level. A gregarious Irishman with a quick wit and charm, he loved people, enjoyed big bands, ballroom dancing, automobiles, helicopters, telling a great story, his wife of 62 years, and his grandsons who he was passionate about and devoted to...all these things made this Irishman smile from ear to ear. el,2 Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret McGuire of Newfane, N.Y., his loving wife, Stella, and his son, Michael Charles McGuire.
