Conklin Age 91, of Parkrose Estates, Liverpool died peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2004 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Buffalo on January 13, 1913, she was one of five children of Charles and Elizabeth Corby. She was married to Raymond Conklin from 1936 to 1970 and Herbert Anderson from 1973 to 1983. In the early 1970's, she taught sewing classes to teens and adults through Singer Sewing Center in Buffalo. She was a skilled artist and quilter and a wonderful gardener. She was a member of Kenmore United Methodist Church since 1939 and a longstanding member of Hughes Class. She was a member of the Kenmore Garden Club and helped to maintain the garden boxes for the Village of Kenmore each summer for many years. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was predeceased by her husbands Raymond in 1970 and Herbert in 1983, as well as her sons Raymond in 1941 and John in 1998. She is survived by her son Lawrence (Sandra) Conklin of Liverpool; daughter-in-law Linda Conklin of Olympia, Washington, stepdaughters Catherine Shively of Las Vegas, Nevada and Mary Jane Anderson of Kenmore, New York, grandchildren Brent and Matthew Conklin and Timothy and Jennifer Parelli and great-grandchildren Annie Lynn Conklin and Jade Estell. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Elmlawn Cemetery, Kenmore, NY.
