Ruth died peacefully in her home in Stephentown, NY on November 29, from
advanced dementia. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin J. Mockler;
mother of Jim (Maureen), of Clarence, Joan (John) Seakwood, of New Lebanon,
NY, Caro (Bill) Maxon, of Johnsonville, NY, Doug (Nancy), of Wynantskill, NY,
and Claire (Joe) Miraglia, of Ashfield, MA; sister of Barbara (Bernie)
Zawadzinski, of Hopewell Junction, NY; grandmother of 13 (including Kate and
Kerry, of Clarence) and great-grandmother of 15. Ruth was 81 years old. She
had helped established the family's mobile home park and worked in the NYS
Senate's briefing office in Albany. She was a Literacy Volunteer in Berlin,
NY, an active member of the Stephentown Federated Church and a volunteer at
the church's food pantry. Burial was Friday, December 3, in Berlin Community
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Literacy
Volunteer's or Hospice, in memory of Ruth.
