Published in the Buffalo News on 12/31/2004. Nosky, Joseph Bernard Passed away December 28, 2004 after a lengthy illness in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Buffalo and lived in Brownsville, TX; survived by his wife Marie; his daughters Valerie Nosky Webb of Seattle, WA and Marie Hamilton of San Antonio, TX, one son Gerald Nosky of Friendswood, TX; nine grandchildren; three sisters Clare Schultz, Bernice Wojtas and Ann Johnson all of New York; predeceased by his older son Joseph Andrew Nosky, his sisters Mildred Ignatz, Dorothy Dittmar, Margaret Winter and his brother Leroy Nosky. He joined the US Army Air Corp in 1942. Joseph served for 21 years in the Air Force, as a pilot with the 1st Air Transportation Squadron in the India-China-Burma Theater in WW II; later in his career he served as a helicopter pilot with the 83rd Air Rescue Squadron in Germany. Joseph worked for the USDA in Brownsville for 20 years. A rosary was held Thursday December 30 in DARLING-MOUSER CHAPEL, 945 Palm Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78520 (956-546-7111).
