Gilmour Jr., Archibald McLeich Archie passed away March 11, 2005 while in the comfort of immediate family, after leading a very full and satisfying life of 80 years. He was born January 16, 1925, in Buffalo, NY where he resided and raised his family until moving with them to San Diego, CA in 1957. Archie was a much beloved husband for 58 years to Eileen (Arnold), his fellow classmate at Pine Hill High School, and revered father to Bonnie (David) Foster of San Diego and Penny (Michael) Waite of Alexandria, VA. Archie is also survived and fondly remembered by his niece, Karen (Steven) Ginsburg of Williamsville, NY and nephew, Robert J. Gilmour (April) of East Amherst, NY, the children of his predeceased younger brother, Robert E. Gilmour, who had resided in Cheektowaga, NY. Archie proudly served his country in WWII from 1943-1946 as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy. After arriving in San Diego, Archie was employed by the San Diego Unified School District for 33 years, retiring as a Landscape Maintenance Supervisor in 1991. No services.
