Main St., Arcade, NY, died on August 25, 2005; born July 8, 1908 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of George and Magdalena Booker. She resided in Arcade for 85 years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2001 to live with one of her sons and his family. She worked at the Old Arcade Knitting Mill, the Larkin Store and was with the Tri-County Times (now the Arcade Herald) for 10 years. She retired from the Borden Food Company in 1971 after 20 years of service. She married Paul Vaughn in 1934 and had two sons. She married Wallace Strong of Arcade, NY in 1956. Mr. Strong predeceased her in 1989. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Brenda) Vaughn of Belmont, NY and Randy (Holly) of Alpharetta, GA; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
