Leone, Mario Passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2005, in Oakland, CA at the age of 52; devoted husband of Louise M. Mario Leone was born in San Pio della Camere, Abruzzi, Italy, on February 2, 1952, to Antonio and Livia Leone, who preceded him in death. The family immigrated to Buffalo, New York, when Mario was a child. He went to California in the early 1970's and has lived in Oakland since 1980. Mario received his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Francisco State University in 1991. He became a Structural Construction Inspector, and was responsible for inspections on numerous earthquake retrofit projects, including San Francisco City Hall and the McArthur Maze. His proudest achievement was the birth of his daughter and namesake, Marie, on January 20, 1997. A Memorial Mass will be said at St. Gregory the Great, Roman Catholic Church, 250 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville, New York, on February 12, 2005, at 9:30 AM.
