Schwartz, C. Joyce   
Age 83, formerly of Cattaraugus, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at Rochester
Shorewinds Nursing Home in Rochester, NY. She was born June 28, 1921 in
Mansfield, NY, the daughter of the late Harold and Bertha (Barnsdale) Skeels.
She worked for the Cattaraugus County Bank for 20 years where she was an
assistant cashier, retiring in 1979. She also worked for the Bank of
Cattaraugus. She is survived by her brother, Lelend Skeels of Cattaraugus, NY
and her grandson, Christopher Decker of Danbury, CT. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Richard G. Schwartz; her brother, Edward Skeels; her sister,
Dorothy Wilson and her daughter, Linda Decker. Funeral Services will be held
Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 2:00 PM at HILLS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 55 South Main
St., Cattaraugus. The Rev. Frank Wood, retired United Methodist Minister will
be officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus.
Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 12-2 PM. Mrs.
Schwartz was a member of the Cattaraugus United Methodist Church, serving in
several areas including Treasurer and Trustee. She was a member of the United
Methodist Women's Association and a member of The Eastern Stars & Little
Valley Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed crossword puzzles and cross stitching.
