On July 1st, 1950 she became the companion of Joseph Viggiano who predeceased her to that happy place called Heaven on May 1st, 2003. Phyllis was the loving mother of two children Patricia (Pascale) Steele and Richard (Charity) Viggiano. Young-Lefeuer, Lois Age 85, in Longwood at Oakmont, formerly of St. Louis, MO, Wednesday, January 5, 2005, born June 20, 1919 in Buffalo, NY; daughter of the late Earle A. LeFever and Ethel Broomfield; wife of the late Commander Richard C. Young, retired USNR; mother of Emy Young Boag, of O'Hara Twp. and John Brewster Young, of St. Charles, MO; grandmother of Caroline Boag Maddux, Emily M. Boag, William Andrew Boag II and Richard C. Boag; sister-in-law of Constance Young Andrews, Marjorie Young Wolfe and Nigel L. Andrews; also survived by four grand-nieces, grand-nephew and one great-grand niece. In addition to being a homemaker, she had a private practice as an Educational Consultant and Learning Specialist. She also developed a thriving hand crafts business supplying original boutique and jewelry items to Bloomingdale's Department Store of New York City. She was loved by all that knew her gentle smile, rapid wit and generous spirit. She was active in the 'Helmmates' which is the Women's Auxiliary of the US Power Squadron, St. Louis, MO Chapter; she was president of the Speakers Club of St. Louis; she belonged to various civic groups and support service organizations; she received the 'Senior Appreciation Award' from the St. Louis Area Agency on Aging for her years of work with senior citizens through the Arch Diocese of St. Louis Catholic Charities; she received an Undergraduate Degree from Vassar College in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology and she earned a double Masters Degree from Webster University in Special Education and Art Therapy. She also worked with the Crippled Childrens Guild of Buffalo, NY and developed a 'Latchkey Program' for children durning WW II. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, January 22, at 10 AM, at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, 384 Fox Chapel Road, Fox Chapel, PA.
