Phillips, Margaret E. A former Buffalo restaurant owner, died Monday, July 4, 2005 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA. She was 86. Born in Williamsport, PA, moved to Buffalo in the late 1930's. From the mid 1950's to the early 1970's, she and her husband, Fred, managed Dan Murphy's Bar and Grill, where they were known as Marge and Sarge. She was famous for her fish fries, her family said. In addition, she owner Marge's Kitchen for about five years until 1978. In recent years, as her health declined, she lived with her sons in Big Sandy, TN; Port Richey, FL and Allentown, PA. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, generosity to others, and her keen sense of humor. Her husband, Fred Ambuske, died in 1986. Surviving are three sons, Arthur (Rebecca) Hansgen of Bountiful, UT; Roger (Dianne) Hansgen of Big Sandy, TN; David (Betsy) Hansgen of Allentown, PA; a sister, Sheila (Donald) Dean of Lewiston, NY; eight grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
