September 10, 1906-May 27,2005; Buffalo lost a wonderful lawyer and 1931 graduate of UB Law School. In 1939 he married Henrietta Steinman, a love for eternity. She died in 1980. He survived by a sister Norma Haberstroh, from El Paso now in Austin, TX and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Grace and Joseph Pecora, a brother Frank, and sisters Marie Marshall and Florence Hoth. He worked in private law firm, US Dept of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service, then the law firm of Judge Michael J. Montesero until 1958. With his own general law practice, he was associated with Cohen & Lombardo. He also served a short time as a Judge. Terrific ballroom dancer, he was honored to dance with Eleanor Roosevelt. At 75 he began competitive ballroom dancing earning numerous awards. Mr. Pecora was committed to the 'Norman J. Pecora Judges Chamber' located in the Leto Court Room at UB, where he established the Norman J. and Henrietta A. Pecora Fund. Age 85, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died at Beechwood Nursing Center on June 6, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 6, 1919, in North Tonawanda to the late Dominic and Angeline Anastasi. Eleanora worked at the former Jones the Florist for many years and was a lifelong member of Ascension R.C. Church. Eleanora was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Nicholas C. Schebell, who was co-owner and operator of Schebell Ready Mix from 1950 to 1975 and former owner of Crickett Restaurant. Eleanora is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Kennth Link, one son, Michael Schebell (Pat Gammalo); grandchildren, Roger (Marilyn) Williams, Jeffrey (Kimberley) Williams, both of Loganville, Georgia, Nicholas Schebell and Erica Schebell of North Tonawanda and one great-grandson, Dominic Williams. She is further survived by brothers, Frank (Pauline) Anastasi Theodore Anastasi, Joseph (Leatrice) Anastasi, Anthony (Gloria) Anastasi; sisters, Rose Belczak, Lucille (Frank) Habuda, Carmelita (Leon) Bourdage, brothers-in-law, Ray Sekera and Frank Darlak, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
